Thanks for all your replies.@Sabrina,I understand the insecurities of Avantu (missing Mom at an young age). But her siblings have gone through the same. They don't express their insecurities in such an irrational way. Anuj respects Sheela, despite she has failed in some class (I don't fully understand Hindi).😕 I have come across people like Avantika who marry people below their level. But their behaviour is exactly opposite in public. Despite fighting badly when they are alone, they want to portray themselves as the luckiest to others. They keep praising their bfs/husbands unnecessarily (may be another way of venting their insecurities out). I did not see that in Avantika.An understanding husband who loves despite all the short comings ? A hypothetical concept of human beings. Bottom of the heart, everyone are selfish. Mother in law feels bad, if her son does not support her. She has some expectation over the love she gave him all these years. We want our kid to achieve something and we take pride in it. We want to seek prize for our upbringing. This world is capitalist and love is also a commodity. Better not to expect anything unconditional.😉

Preity: desperate for attention... Slept with a man without thinking twice about the consequences...very needy... Maybe this stems from death of her mom too.
Avantika: married someone who she may have thought would never betray her. BUT he did ( in her mind he did)... So the outward behavior to prove she is happy with him wasn't necessary anymore... She lost her trust and is constantly angry about it.
Harish: yes it's rare to find people like Harish... Who love unconditionally...but once in awhile you find someone like that. No one would keep a secret for someone else and jeopardize their own marriage. Yes I agree with you, every relationship is a give and take...most cannot "let go" of their expectations from their kids or spouses. BUT I have seen one or two such people who do not expect anything I return..somehow they end up getting most in return. Like Hraish..everyone trusts him, everyone loves him..he is a nonjudgmental wonderful human being. Be it Nana, Preity, Adi , Pankhuri...everyone likes him and he has NO expectations back from them. Even though Avantiak doesn't deserve him, HE will still love her bcos that's the kind of selfless person he is...
