First things first,
If we hold Zoe responsible for her impulsive and thoughtless behaviour and callousness, Asad too has a massive drawback apart from being a MCP Cynic. That is , his absolute refusal to listen to the other side - to the other person and their POV. Except Ayaan, Asad always zips up others and that includes Dilshad. And today, Zoe voiced that as well - Mr. Khan, meri koi bhi baat kabhi bhi kyun nahiin sunte hain?"... True. Asad kisi ki nahiin suntaa hai - phir band bajjti hai aur Asad phir damage control karne nikal padta hai. Dear Asad, if you will never give the other person a chance to talk and put forward their POV , how will you ever come to an understanding? Why can't you always lend a ear to others like you lent one to Zoe yesterday. Why do you do that? Scared that the other person maybe right and you will have to let your guard down? Perhaps.
I liked how Asad and Zoe began to work as a team today - FINALLY. Asad realized that he was wrong in not listening to Zoe about the attacker and he let her talk -FINALLY. Without interrupting her or rolling his eyes at her blabber , he listened to her with an eager and emotional ear. When Zoe said that the collar piece was enough to at least start looking for the attacker, Asad didn't exactly dismiss her suggestion. Its about his darling Ammie and finally, both him and Zoe are on the same side for the woman they both love - Dilshad.
I also loved how both were so emotional about recounting and reconstructing the whole shooting incident - without being mechanical smart CSI workers. Zoe's realization that the attacker came to kill Dilshad and her falling on her knees saying 'sorry' to Asad that she let it happen . Asad understanding her position and looking at her emotionally , only to avert his eyes when she looked back again.
Its a relief to see no bitterness between AsYa and their understanding finding way between their Tom and Jerry banter. Asad is not exactly 'THERE' but he has begun to understand Zoe and yes, he doesn't like to see her cry.
So, where do we go from here? Who knows. Humraahi hain... humsafar aur humdard banne ka safar abhi baaki hai...
Oh, and that title of the post. Remington Steele were a sexy investigation duo on TV years ago.
