Sushant responds to Anu's comments on him

In a somewhat shocking interview Anushka Sharma had commented about Sushant Singh Rajput's short role in the upcoming film Peekay. Peekay is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma.

Anushka had said, "I'm opposite both Sushant and Aamir. Sushant has only eight days worth of work. Hirani's wife used to tell him that heroines never have a good role in his films. This time, he has changed that. I am proud that he chose me. Sushant is just a small chapter in my life." While it seems odd that Anushka specifically mentions Sushant's short role in the film, apparently there is a reason behind it. As per sources, Anushka was irked by a comment made by a close competitor that Anushka has a small role in Peekay and that she is working opposite a television star.

While Sushant is excited to work with Hirani, Anushka's statements came as a big surprise to him. When asked what he thought of these unflattering statements he said, "I will have to check the schedule to know exactly how many days I am shooting. As far as being a small chapter is concerned, I hope it's an interesting one in her (Anushka) life. I come from the school of actors who believe there are no small roles, there are only small actors. In my first film Kai Po Che, I am working with two other actors; in Maneesh Sharma's movie, I am opposite two heroines and in the third, I am working with two lead actors. So I can stand in a crowd in the frame of a director like Rajkumar Hirani and still be a proud actor."
