I fell for my teacher when I was in Class VIII. The strange part was that she knew about my likings for her, and till today we are in touch.
So, did you get any special treatment from her?
(Laughs) Yes, she called me for her wedding.
Did you play any pranks when you were out on dates?
Not really. But I did play hide-and-seek. Like I used to be present at the spot but not show up in front of my date. At other times, I would pretend I did not remember my date's birthday and then surprise her with a gift.
Do you remember any incidents in school when you were naughty?
Plenty. I was once caught smooching a girl in the library. I broke many glass panes in school, besides always being late for the assembly. My sister was the head girl and I was always known for my pranks. She once threw me out of march past because I was talking instead of doing the drill.
What about pranks with friends?
I think I was in Class X or XII when I faked a heart attack and the entire class started reacting, rather over reacting. The principal came in, took a look at me and gave me a tight slap. When I asked why, he said, 'Your heart is on the left and not on the right side'.
Ever made your wife angry?
It was during our courtship days. Poonam had gone to this salon and she thought that I had no clue of which salon she went to. But I sent lots of balloons and flowers there and the entire salon was strewn with them. I think she was embarrassed and vexed at the same time.
Do you think being naughty is an art?
Yes, it is. It takes a lot to be naughty. And I hope to be so till I am 60.
