That has to do with Media/PR . They always talked about the hits of Khans even though other actors had hits but it was never talked about.

I'll put Sanjay ahead in this.His performance in "Khalnaayak" ,"Vastaav" made me a big fan of him.He had the look & Charisma required to be a big thing.

Anil was a great actor & Govinda a great Dancer but i dont think many people could connect with them well enough as a "Superstar" thing demands.

Sunny was the action hero , the "He-Man" of that era & sadly, it became his ONLY image.
