The promo is a shocker, for sure. and I was devastated yesterday.

If RK is really evil, if he has really been waiting to deal a death blow to Madhu... then there is no point in this serial any more. Because to gain trust so deeply, so fully and then to betray is an act that is lowest of the low. Such a character cannot be the hero of any story.

If RK is really evil, then we, along with Madhu, have been tricked at every turn from the night of the studio onwards.

If they depict RK to be really evil, it simply doesn't fit what they have narrated so far. Because RK has yearned, suffered, been tormented when he has been alone as well - his own life has been transformed because of Madhu. He risked his life to save hers. That is way beyond the common profile for a revenge seeking megalomaniac.

IF they do depict RK as such, it is a very artificial twist in the story. Sometimes creative teams in television do this - finish one story and start another with the SAME characters, as if it was just an additional chapter. But this is a particularly vicious twist and in self defence I would take the SR to mean the seal on Rishbala's lovestory and leave it there, walk away from MEIEJ. 😭

However, I don't htink that the CVs are going to do this. 😃 I feel they are quite bent upon creating a grand love story which has no bounds. That the protagonists are going to continue to make small and big gestures of love, sacrifice and junoon.😳

So what can cause RK to pull back from the saath pheras? It can only be a threat to Madhu's life. There is no one on the scene as of now - no villain who can issue that threat enough to scare RK. But what about FATE? RK's greatest fear, mistrust - his perceived nemesis?
FATE that RK dreads. That he secretly believes will wrest Madhu from him?

The makers of this soap have used a foretelling as a plot device before. What if someone - a seer or priest takes a look at Madhu or her kundali and declares: "The minute this girl's 'maang' is filled with sindoor, her countdown to death begins." 😲

Not enough to scare rational us but enough to scare vulnerable RK? Maybe. What if he believes that marrying Madhu with saath pheras and putting sindoor in her maang is what will shove her towards death? He can't explain it to her because she would laugh and make him go through with the ceremony. So he decides to tell her the whole thing was a game and tries to eject her from his life. What if he tells her a 'mamooli' girl is not worthy of him. 😕
Madhu, in bewilderment and grief, anger and desperation, decides to show him she's not mamooli. 😕

What say?
Just a prediciton because I CANNNOT believe RK doesn't love Madhu. That's impossible. So SOMETHING like this is the only alternative.
What say? Please comment.

Yes, the reason has to be strong.
He must think it is worth:
a) hurting Madhu and ruining her, because she will be broken after this
b) being separated from her - he can't live without her.

So it has to be a bigger reason. Dunno what it will be! 😕

I can accept anything and everything that is not a revenge track. There is no way I think that RK doesn't love Madhu. He loves her like crazy. He has been seen yearning for her even when alone. Who was he fooling then?

If this is indeed a revenge track, then RKs character will be the worst ever portrayal of a male lead... stooping to the level of establishing a physical relation to seek revenge? How much more disgusting can someone get? It will be the most heartless and ruthless man ever on TV. His character will go beyond redemption.

I agree with your post. Superb points.

No the revenge track simply doesn't make sense.
When Radhaji tried to give Padmini 40 lakhs and told her to take Madhu home, RK stepped in and said, 'Biwi aur mere beech in 40 laakh ke alawa bhi bohut kuch baaki hai. Waise bhi, 4 thappad ke badle koi chaar phere nahin leta. He could have abandoned her then and the revenge would have been complete.

He acknowledged that there was a deeper reason for marrying Madhu - he wanted to. He wanted her in his life. If they ressurect the Revenge thing now, it will be totally nonsensical.

As for the consummation - no, that is the worst thing because it will push RK beyond the worst characters in this story-verse. Beyond Redemption.
Thanks for your response.

Yes, how will RK survive without Madhu?

And I agree - they were settling into domesticity and it was time for something to jolt the story out of the nice, warm rut. Quite a twist this is. 😛
