Shveta's lucky charms

She's made it to the finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with her graceful moves. But Shveta also has something else to thank for getting there. The actress has been getting good luck charms in the form of soft toys from her friend and Left Right Left co-star Aparna Tilak. What started as a friendly gesture has now become a weekly ritual.

Slow and steady

Talking about it, Shveta says, "I think it's very sweet of Aparna. I believe in positive energy and love hanging around those who radiate it. I have been taking these toys from Aparna from the first week and I believe they have played a role in getting me ahead in the competition. Along with the endless hours of rehearsals Longi and I have dedicated, I think Aparna's goodwill has also worked in my favour."

Aparna, who is popularly known as Dr Shalini, says, "I remember the first toy I gave her was a tortoise, because it represents 'slow and steady wins the race'. After that, each week I have made it a point to give her the lucky charm on the day of her performance."

Aparna says that despite her shooting schedules, it is important for her to make sure that Shveta gets her furry friends. "I believe luck has a lot to do with getting what you desire. I was the most nervous when Mahesh,
Mona and Shveta were in the danger zone. I remember telling her she's going to make it."

Go green

The results for Jhalak will be out on Friday, so this time Aparna has something special made for Shveta. "I do lot of crotchet work. I have made her a green-and-white pouch in which I will give her the offerings I make to the gods in my house. I think green is going to be a lucky colour for her and she should try and wear it on the result day."

Supporting Shveta, she says, "I think she deserves to win because the show is all about dance. The best dancer should win. You may be popular with the audience, but at the end of the day it's the amount of hard work that matters. I am sure Shveta will emerge victorious on Friday night."

Dr.SHalini a ka aparna is working with shveta in LRL,so she should know better about shveta 😃 the whole world doesnt hate shveta 👏
