Happy homecoming for Kushal and Elena

This homecoming has been extra special for TV actor and Lucknowite Kushal Tandon, and the reasons are entirely personal even though Kushal was in Lucknow over the last weekend for work.
"Actually, this was the first time Elena (his girlfriend, who's also his partner in the dance reality show Nach Baliye) came home. My parents have known about our relationship, they even spent this Christmas and New Year with us in Mumbai, but it was Elena's first visit home," he said.
Telling us about her Lucknow experience, Elena shares, "It wasawesome, I loved the tika his mom put on my forehead. And the food, she made such amazing stuff. I enjoyed interacting with Kushal's dad, he's so much fun." To which a laconic Kushal adds, "Yeah, I'm sure it was fun considering both of them were communicating in gestures half the time. She does not get my dad's English and he does not entirely understand her accent. It was hilarious in fact!"
Home visits apart, even though they have been a steady relationship for a long time, Kushal says he is yet not ready to tie the knot with his entrepreneur girlfriend. "I am still finding my feet in the industry," he says, adding, "And even Elena has a full-time business of accessories to look after. We are both young and happy..."
"Hardly happy! I would give up my work any day to stay with you. All the while I am in Bulgaria I am wondering what you would be doing right now, and why haven't you answered my messages," Elena pointed out with mock outrage, adding that, "You know, I used to be suspicious because he would always tell me he's busy and not talk enough. But when I came to India forNach Baliye, I understood what a tough life he leads. Television is such hard work and such crazy hours."
And while Kushal might be appearing in a reality show, he says "I'm more comfortable with a cuts and retakes format." And though there have been rumours of a film production house keen on having a meeting with him, Kushal says he has not found the time to meet them yet. "If a film offer does materialize, I will let the world know. I'm not the sort to say 'we are still considering the offer' or anything like that!"
