Trishna stood there bruised and frightened.
shamsher : trishna beta!!! (comes near her) what happened???
trishna hugs him and starts to cry badly.
khushi: what happened didu?? and what are these marks??
rk and arnav: didu??
khushi: yes, she our uncle - balraj chaudhary's daughter!!!
arnav: what?? but you never told us!!
khushi: er...
trishna: that's because i didn't wanted anyone to know!!
everyone looked at trishna.
trishna: i am sorry khushi , i couldn't save madhu!!! (she again starts to cry)
khushi: what do you mean??
trishna: i know who is after this attack!!
all looked in shock at her.
shamsher: tell me , who was that trishna??
trishna: papa!!! (and she breaks down )
all: what??
trishna: i am sorry uncle!! few days before our trip i heard him talking to someone on phone.though he never loved me and never talked to me properly but his behavior was stranger than usual. he was very angry and took madhu's name a few times. i thought i too be just a mere coincidence but still i asked madhu if she was alright.
then...then he was busy all the week and i heard him talking to someone to finish his work...
shamsher: but how can you be so sure?? he is your father trishna!! and madhu's uncle then why would he do anything like this??
trishna: i ...i don't know but yesterday night i confronted him and asked him if he was doing all this knowingly. he beat me and locked me in the room . he said that he had finish off someone first and will later think of me!!!
khushi: he gave you these scars?? how did you came here??
trishna: i escaped with the help of our maid. she told me about madhu.i don't like her cause i was always jealous of her happiness and friendship but i am not that much bad to leave her alone in such a situation.
samar: where he is now??
trishna: i don't know i escaped when he was not at home!!!
rk: but why would he do this to you and madhu??
trishna: i don't know !!
arnav: we should inform police to keep track of him!!!
khushi: no!! balraj uncle can't do this!! and the bullet was aimed at rk!!
shamsher: yes he can!!!
khushi: what!!
shamsher: he never liked girls before not even his own daughter madhu. but when trishna's brother tarun was born we thought he had changed!! but i guess i was wrong.
samar , shamsher rush to police and anjali takes trishna to doctor to give her first aid for her bruises. rk, arnav and khushi stood outside madhu's room.
a little later trishna comes and anjali come back. a little later doctor too comes there.
dr: good news for you all !! the patient is gaining consciousness. you can go and meet her but two at a time.
everyone was excited to meet madhu except for rk. anjali saw this.
anjali: khushi , you and arnav go. i will come with rishab.
arnav and khushi: but??
anjali: i said go.
so the two nodded and went inside.
inside:
madhu slowly opened her eyes. the hazy things slightly became clearer but madhu felt a stabbing pain in her shoulder. she remembered what all had happened. she remembered how she felt a piercing pain and then everything went black. but she remembered someone calling her . was that rk??? but suddenly all her thoughts were put to a stop when she saw khushi and arnav.
madhu: khushi?? arnav??
arnav: hi!!
madhu: how are you??
arnav: um...fine but not as much you!!
madhu giggles.
khushi rushed to her side. and started to cry.
madhu: please don't cry!!
khushi: sorry !! how are you feeling now??
madhu: alive!!
khushi: shut up!! you sound like rk.
madhu suddenly looked around but found him nowhere in the room.
khushi: are youmad!!! idiot!!
madhu heard arnav giggle as finally khushi was coming to her original self.
madhu: what??
khushi: i have never seen someone so stupid like you!!! you know how much scared we all were!! i felt i lost a part of me!!
i know this was your plan to test us na!! happy!! happy that we all care for you more than our own life!! you know what madhu , when we were taking you to hospital, arnav was driving like a maniac, anjajli ji, samar ji and shamsher uncle all were praying for you and rk , rk was completely shattered . he thinks that he is responsible for all this!!
madhu: (thinking) so i was right!! that voice was of rk. but why do he cares so much for me??
khushi kept on blabbering. she was happy and hell too angry on madhu at same time but half of her words were drowning in tears.
madhu: (puts her hand on khushi's hand) khushi!! i love you dear!!
khushi: (suddenly stops) me too !!! (she hugs madhu)
madhu: ouch!!
khushi: sorry!! did it hurt??
madhu: a little but your hug can make any pain vanish.
khushi beamed with joy.
madhu: so when can i go home??
arnav: at least 10 days more!!
madhu: what??
arnav: yes, you are still too weak and di and one of us will be here all the time.
madhu: but why??
khushi: cause padmini aunty's not here!!
madhu: maa?? you told her anything??
khushi: er...no but now you yourself have to tell her all the things.
arnav: i think we should leave khushi, madhu needs rest .
then the two come out of their room.
anjali found rk in the garden outside hospital building.
anjali: so you don't know how to face her??
rk: di!!
anjali: you will be never able to hide anything from me rishu.
rk: di you don't know what i did that day!!
anjali: neither i want to. i just came here to tell you that sometimes we do not know how precious is someone to us until it is gone.
rk: i don't know what's happening!! but i just can't figure out what's wrong!! i can't see anyone trying to hurt her.
anjali: maybe that's what we call love!!
rk: what??
anjali: you know what i am talking about rishu!! someone has said-

rk : where??
anjali: aren't you going to meet her??
rk went with her but he was still thinking about what she said.
madhu was feeling sleepy due to the medicines. suddenly the door cracked open and anjali walked inside. and behind her was the person she was waiting for ever since her eyes opened.
madhu: how are you anjali ji??
rk felt so much relived to hear her voice.
anjali : now that you are fine, we all are going to be fine.
madhu: arnav told me that you are going to stay with me!!
anjali : yes and no if and but!! is that clear??
madhu nodded innocently
anjali: oh!! i have to tell samar. excuse me.
then she leaves from the room. rk knew that di did all this for him.
madhu tries to shift in her bed but the drips inserted in her hands and pulled and she winces in pain. rk quickly comes by her side and holds her hand to comfort her.
and she knew that his one touch was enough to calm her.
madhu stared at rk . she wanted him to say something but he too stared at her likke a dumb.
madhu: what ??
rk: i am sorry
madhu: that's all??
rk: and thanks , i know that i would have been in this bed had you not interrupted in between.
madhu: are sorry or thankful about that??
rk : i don't know!! i just know that i want things to be normal as they were two days back.
madhu: (smiled) me too. friends?? (pulls out her hand)
rk : (smiles back) friends (and shakes hand with her.
madhu : i think thatyou should find a new kate.
rk : no!! only you are going to be my kate!! you're mine!!
madhu could clearly see a what he meant. rk quickly turned topic when he found what he just said.
rk: so ten more days huh?? arnav will give you all the eeducational news and the fun and frolic department is upto me and khushi.
madhu smiled.
madhu: and what about play??
rk : oh we will practice for that here!!
madhu: here?? in hospital room??
rk : yup!!
madhu: but how??
rk: leave that to me!!
madhu: will you come here daily??
rk : although i don't like this smell of medicines but i am ready to do it for you.
do it for me?? what did he meant by that??
madhu: who were they??
rk : who??
madhu: the gunmen.
rk : police is still searching for them( he didn't wanted her to know the truth , though it would hurt her a lot)
madhu: really??
rk : yes, i think you should take rest.
he adjusts the pillow beneath her head and leaves.
but he turns back.
rk : madhu!!
madhu : (nods in her sleepy state) what?
rk : you are not that bad at kissing (winks)
he rushes outside and madhu gasps at him with an open mouth.
so the original rishab kundra( or i may say rk ) was back!!
