Exactly rima, that was the root cause of his insecurities whether he deserves her or not. Exactly. After marriage, i never saw that insecurity on his face.

OMG... I just love that scene...Arnav and khushi with perfect expressions to perfect direction... I feel that the show lost its intensity post MU marriage... And we all were watching waiting for the intensity to come back which never did
No bashing please truly my opinion..., can watch these scenes over again and again but post marriage ...nada

One of the best written scenes of the show! It was like watching two formidable opponents face each other off in a game of tennis... Khushi matched each of ASR's biting, cutting, vicious volleys with quite, measured, dignified, responses ... You can feel her heart break a little more...can feel her hopelessness... She is almost resigned to the fact that she is in love with a man who is the exact opposite of her...
Both were excellent... What was so brilliant about this and other such scenes that these two enact that the simmering, undercurrent of desire is palpable!! ASR turns always from her... the strains of Rabba vey start ..and Khushi says " kya hula? Aap ko aap Kay tootay huay rishtay ki jaad dila di"
His Toota hua rishta is the last thing on his mind...

Loved the next scene... He can't tolerate the sight of NK and Khushi together and gets even angrier at her refusal to accept a ride from him...
None of this had anything to do with ruining his boring party... everything has turned on its head as far as ASR was concerned it was, till a short while ago, entirely Khushi's fault... Her presence, her dancing and flirting!! He felt he was justifiably lashing out at her... And now in the end could not grasp how the situation had flipped!!! He angrily asserts that she go with him...and is met with a stern refusal!!
Loved Every minute!!
Beautifully written and even more beautifully brought to life by Sanaya and Barun!!

Thanks for starting this thread!!

this unforgettable scene is from the first episode i ever saw :) i honestly could not take my eyes away from the couple on the screen wondering what was i watching and what was going on. inbetween ads i bombarded my cousins, who made me watch it with them, with dozens of questions - is he the hero? REALLY? does he know he's in love with her? does she know he loves her? does she love him back? if so, why was she engaged to someone else? wait, why was he engaged to someone else? were these two once a couple? did they break up? why is he being so evil to her? how could he be the hero, he's actingly distinctly unheroically? who's the other guy, are u sure she doesn't like him? but this guys being such a jealous git ... he's so hurtful, HOW r they going to get together??????
this scene was beautifully written, beautifully directed and subtly enacted by barun and sanaya. the undercurrents, the tension between them was palpable even to a novice like me - it got me hooked to ipk. i have to say i LOVED khushi in this scene, she was quietly dignified in the face of such a hostile and aggressive personal attack. i also have to say i did not like ASR with his overbearing attitude and wondered why she had ever fallen for him when the perfectly lovely other guy seemed much better (dumbo me :) but this sweet, strong, independent, thoughtful girl obviously preferred complicated, contrary, enigmatic alpha males with deeply hidden depths...
so i started watching ipk from this point because i kept wondering how was this lovely girl going to end up with this idiot, i needed to know. but two more episodes in i have to give it to barun, he gave me glimpses beneath the veneer that ASR projected to the world, that there was something else going on, that there was more to him than met the eye. the attitude seemed to be mostly directed at KKG, therefore she was obviously in his head, in his heart, under his skin, not where he wanted her to be. he didn't behave as badly with anyone else and was downright sweet with his sister. khushi scared him in some way, made him irrational. hmmm, curiouser and curiouser. so then i went back and watched all the episodes from the beginning ... and i was lost :)))))
