Manvi helped Jeevika get off the train and Virat was getting their stuff out.
jeevika - "Mannu my head is spinning a lot and I feel like throwing up"
manvi - "Di lets go sit in the car. You'll feel better"
jeevika - "No, I'll feel more nauseous"
manvi - "Ok hold, let me go call Virat one second"
Manvi went towards Virat.
virat - "What happened why are you running?"
manvi - "Di is feeling really sick. What should we do"
beeji - "Beta let's make her sit down in the car"
manvi - "She said no and that she'll feel more sick"
beeji - "Okay lets go"
The three of them left the train station and went outside where Jeevika was sitting head down on a bench.
virat - "Bhabhi are you okay? Are you feeling better"
jeevika - "No Virat, I'm feeling really tired"
virat - "Bhabhi maybe we should go home then and you can rest"
Tears started going down Jeevika's eyes.
jeevika - "No Virat, I'm not going near that house nor near Virenji or Swamini bua"
virat - "Bhabhi I know you don't want to and trust me I don't either, but your safety is first. What if on the flight to Mumbai your health gets worst? Think about your baby first"
jeevika - "I am thinking about my baby, that's why I'm not stepping foot in that house"
virat - "Okay, let's leave from here. I'll make some arrangements"
Beeji and Jeevika sat in the car while Virat and Manvi were putting the bags away in the trunk.
virat - "Manvi lets do one thing. Let me call ma and tell her to bring the keys to the guesthouse. No one will know also"
manvi - "Good idea. I'll go quickly call her you sit in the car"
Manvi went on the side to call Vanshika as everyone waited in the car.
manvi - "Ma we are in Chandigardh now. I know it's late but do you think you can come to the guesthouse and bring the keys. We had a flight to catch to Mumbai, but di is not feeling well at all and she's refusing to come home"
vanshika - "Yeah beta don't worry, I'm leaving home right now"
manvi - "Thank you Ma, and please don't tell anyone"
Manvi cut the phone and sat in the car. Jeevika rested her head on beeji's shoulder.
manvi - "Okay virat let's go now. Go fast so we can make di eat and sleep"
virat - "Okay"
Virat drove the car as quickly as possible to their guesthouse. Luckily as they reached, Jeevika was asleep and Vanshika was waiting outside with the keys to the house. Virat and Manvi got out of the car.
vanshika - "Beta, how's Jeevika doing?"
manvi - "Not that good ma, she's asleep though now"
vanshika - "But beta what exactly did Dr. Mannan say? I've been so worried as Manvi just rushed it and told me"
manvi - "Ma, I'll tell you but first Virat please take di inside the room"
Virat went to the car and picked Jeevika up and carried her to one of the rooms. Manvi covered her with a blanket and they all, except beeji came outside the room.
vanshika - "I've told Tarun to bring food for all of you. He should be here soon too. Make sure you feed her correctly Manvi"
manvi - "We will"
vanshika - "Now tell me exactly what happened?"
virat - "Dr. Mannan said there are some abnormalities in bhabhi's blood and there's a certain test that needs to be done. So he made an appointment in some hospital in Mumbai. The baby might be in danger"
manvi - "My goodness. Virat if Jeevika looses this child too, she will really be broken. She already is so hurt, that she won't be able to survive that. And Viren would be devasted if he finds out that no one even told him"
manvi - "Ma, you're not going to tell jiju. He doesn't deserve to know" she said as her eyes started tearing up again
vanshika - "But beta you know what he said he didn't mean at all. He loves Jeevika so much. The whole way back he was crying and didn't say a word to anyone. Now also he's locked himself in his room and refuses to eat or let anyone meet him"
virat - "Ma if we tell bhai, he will want to meet bhabhi. And she's not ready to face or deal with him as of now. We don't want her to get more stressed as that will make her health even worst. She can't sleep properly as she wakes up and starts crying. She's not getting proper rest also"
vanshika - "Okay beta. It's better to get her heath right first and then we will deal with all of this. But Manvi Virat, I think we should at least tell Viren about the pregnancy"
manvi - "Yeah Virat even I feel that. We shouldn't hide such a big thing"
virat - "Manvi, how many times should I explain it. Bhai will definitely come then. Just give it a few days until we exactly find out what the problem is. Let bhabhi spend some time with her family and get out of the whole situation"
vanshika - "Ok, let me know if you need something. I'm going to go home now before anyone finds out"
manvi - "Okay, thank you ma"
vanshika - "No need to say thank you! Please take care of Jeevika for me"
virat - "We will"
Vanshika left and went home. She was hoping that no one would notice her being gone for so long. As she entered the house Kadambri came running towards her.
k - "Bhabhi, where have you been? We've been trying to get Viren to come out but he's not opening the door. Please you try something"
v - "Let's go"
They both to the room and were banging on the door when Swamini came.
s - "Bhabhi leave him alone. It's better he starts forgetting about her and moves on. Let him cry his heart out once and for all"
v - "Didi what are you saying. Jeevika is his wife"
s - "You still want those two girls to come back. Did you not see how Virat insulted me in front of the whole family because of those two girls. They both have made our sons change. I never approved of them and never will I"
v - "That's it didi! I cannot take this any longer. Instead of admitting your mistake, your blaming it on an innocent girl. Those two girls were almost raped by who? By Karan. Yet they kept a strong face in front of you. And now you are saying we should tell Viren to move on? I won't let him do that nor will I let you say and decide anything in my sons' lives anymore"
Swamini was shocked at how Vanshika was speaking with her. Never before did they have an argument like this. She simply walked away crying, and Vanshika didn't care to stop her. Then she and Kadambri kept on knocking on the door trying to get Viren to come out.
v - "Viren please come out. Open the door, I need to talk to you"
Viren wasn't responding, but they could tell he was sitting on the ground in front of the door crying still.
v - "Kadambri, do me a favor. Please go warm up some food for Viren and send it in. Let me talk to him alone"
k - "Okay bhabhi"
v - "Viren, listen to me. You have made a big mistake, and now instead of trying to fix it you're secluding yourself. Beta please open the door just once. I need to talk to you"
Viren finally opened the door slightly and sat back down on the ground near the door. He was holding some sort of envelope in his hands. He kept staring at it and tears kept flowing down his cheek.
viren - "Ma, I hurt Jeevika when she needed me the most. I said the worst thing I could say to her, calling her my baby's murderer when in fact she's carrying my child right now" he said in a monotone and sad way as he kept looking down.
Vanshika now figured out that the hospital must have mailed home her reports and Viren now knew he was going to be a dad. She was confused as it was so much to handle.
vanshika - "I already know beta, so don't you think you need to make it all right. You made a mistake, and I can see your miserable and sorry for what you did. But Viren once just place yourself in Jeevika's shoes. Think about that girl who sacrificed her child to save a life. You don't know what you and Virat mean for me. The thought of even loosing you or Virat makes me petrified. When Virat was in jail all I wanted to do was protect my child. Only a woman understands what it's like to loose or fear to loose a child. Then on top of that Karan. He tormented both Jeevika and Manvi. All those hearings and the thought of loosing you made Jeevika even more weak. And then on top of it all didi insulted her parents. Viren how would you feel if someone insulted your father? Even though he's not here with us today, you know you wouldn't be able to tolerate it right? Imagine those two girls have been each other's support system throughout. You still had me, and didi and so many elders"
viren - "I know ma, and I can never be sorry enough. I don't know how I said those things with my mouth. Please ma, you need to make it better. You need to talk to Jeevika. She considers you as her mother. Only you can fix it"
Vanshika took her son in her arms and they both hugged each other.
vanshika - "We will Viren. But we need to wait till she is stronger and better"
viren - "Better? Ma are you hiding something from me? Even in the car you started crying. Please tell me ma"
Vanshika didn't know what to do and stayed silent. Kadambri walked in with food.
vanshika - "First eat, we will talk later"
viren - "No ma. Tell me whats wrong? Is Jeevika alright? Is my baby okay?"
Kadambri was shocked when Viren said his baby. Vanshika just gave her the look telling her to keep mum about this secret. She walked out giving both of them some space.
vanshika - "Okay I will tell you. But Viren you will have to listen to me okay? You will not go against my orders?"
viren - "Ma you're freaking me out. Please tell me"
vanshika - "First promise you will do as i say?"
viren - "Okay promise please tell me ma. I'm scared"
vanshika - "There are some abnormalities with Jeevika's blood. The baby is in danger"
Viren got up from the ground and then Vanshika did. He couldn't believe this ears. He covered his face with the palms of his hand.
vanshika - "Viren don't worry. Manvi and Virat are there for her. She's in safe hands"
viren - "Ma this is all my fault. I'm the one who cursed Jeevika, its my fault my baby is at risk now. Ma Jeevika will be shatter if she looses this baby, and I am going to be the reason behind that. Ma I need to meet her right now. I'm going to Rishikesh to bring her back"
vanshika - "Viren no! You promised me you would do as I said remember? If she sees you Viren, she will get more stressed. She anyways isn't sleeping well and if her body doesn't get the rest it needs then the baby will be in a more dangerous situation"
viren - "But ma she is my wife, and my baby is in danger How can I sleep, walk, eat or do anything. Ma I really really have to meet her. Please lets go to Rishikesh"
vanshika - "Beta no. They are not in Rishikesh"
viren - "Ma where are they then? Where have the taken my jeevika?"
vanshika - "They're going to be going to Mumbai"
viren - "But where are they right now? Wait if they're going to Mumbai that means they would have to come to Chandigarhd first to take a flight from here. MA THEY'RE IN CHANDIGARDH?"
vanshika - "Viren, you need to control yourself. You can't go meet them please try and understand"
viren - "Ma please, let me just see her once. I won't go in front of her and she won't see me. But I need to see her ma, just once"
vanshika - "Okay, let me talk to Virat first"
Vanshika went to call Virat as Viren just walked back and forth in his room so anxious and scared. This was his fault, everything was his fault.
v - "Virat beta, Viren knows about jeevika's pregnancy"
virat - "Ma did you tell him?"
v - "No, the hospital mailed home her tests results and he found out. He started questioning me and I had to tell him the truth. Virat he's very disturbed right now and I have never seen him like this. Please let him come and just see Jeevika once. He's loosing his mind right now"
virat - "Ma not now. Manvi is feeding bhabhi and she's already feeling very weak. She almost fell twice when she was going to the bathroom"
v - "What? Virat okay you take care of her I'll do something"
Vanshika went back into the room and saw a restless Viren walking around screaming and getting mad at himself.
vanshika - "Viren, Jeevika is not doing well at all right now. She's to weak, please Viren try and understand"
viren - "But ma"
vanshika - "Viren please don't do something that will make matters worst than it already is"
viren - "Fine I won't go. But ma I am going to go to Mumbai tomorrow. I won't go in front of her but I need to be in Mumbai with my baby and my wife. Ma I won't listen to anyone. I need her"
vanshika - "Okay, but go rest now. We'll both go okay?"
Vanshika left Viren who couldn't stop worrying. He called up as many doctors he knew in Mumbai trying to make the best arrangements for Jeevika. No matter how much he did, he knew it wasn't enough.
Back at the guest house Manvi and Beeji were both putting Jeevika to asleep while Virat was making phone calls. Manvi came out and told him that Jeevika had fallen asleep.
virat - "Manvi bhai found out about the pregnancy. The hospital had sent home bhabhi's reports and then ma had to tell him the truth. Ma just called me again saying that he's coming to Mumbai too, but he won't come in front of bhabhi. So ma is coming with him to, just incase.
manvi - "Virat what is happening? I don't know what is going on. Today was even worst than the day I found out I had cancer. I mean I knew I could take in all the pain and suffer but seeing di and jiju like this. I can't believe it Virat"
virat - "It's okay it will be fine okay?"
They both hugged each other and went to sleep as they had to catch a flight tomorrow morning. The next day everyone had left for Mumbai. Viren and Vanshika were on a separate flight, but they were ready to go as well. Jeevika wasn't feeling much stronger and barely had the energy to walk. As soon as they reached Mumbai, Dr. Mannan called Virat telling him that Jeevika's appointment was in the afternoon and that he would meet them there. Virat was glad and relieved Dr. Mannan had come as well so they would be periodically told if everything would be okay. As soon as they got to the hospital, the nurses took Jeevika inside a room. Manvi went with her also. Viren and Vanshika came to the hospital and saw Virat standing with Dr. Mannan outside.
viren - "Virat, how is she going? Is everything okay"
virat - "They have to do a few tests"
m - "I'll be right back. Let me go talk to the doctor"
viren - "Listen Virat, I'm really really sorry. I know what I did was very wrong, and I won't ever forgive myself. I have cursed myself and the reason Jeevika is having all these complications is just because of me. You were there for her when she needed me the most and I can never say thank you enough. But please forgive your brother"
virat - "Bhai its okay. Everyone makes mistakes and you always covered up my mistakes protecting me like my dad. Don't worry we won't let anything happen to bhabhi or the baby okay?"
They both hugged each other promising to make everything better again. Just then the doctor came out with Mannan.
dr - "Hi are you her husband?"
viren - "Yes I am. Is everything alright"
dr - "Well we don't know yet. We have to take your wife for some tests and that's why I'm here to explain it to you. We have to do a few routine tests, but one is a little dangerous but necessary in this situation. We have to inject a 7 inch needle in your wife's abdomen to gather the liquid surrounding your baby. With that we will be able to test if the baby is growing like it should be. But it is a risky procedure as it sometimes leads to a miscarriage. She is going to be in a lot of pain as well and we will need someone inside helping her keep calm"
Viren's body was numb. He didn't know what to do. If they went with the procedure and something happened to the baby he would not be able to make it. But it was also important to find out that both the mother and baby were healthy.
dr - "If you agree, I will need you to sign on these papers" he said handing them over to him.
mannan - "Viren it's important we get this done. I think you should sign"
virat - "Bhai don't worry, nothing will happen. Just sign it"
Viren's hands were trembling as he signed the papers and gave it back to the doctor.
mannan - "Actually if its okay with you guys, I can go inside with Jeevika for the procedure. I'll be there to keep her calm and I'll update you all as well"
virat - "Sure, thank you"
Virat made his brother sit down and explained to him everything was going to be okay. Manvi and Beeji came out and sat there too and were shocked to see Viren like that. They could tell how regretful he was of everything happening and they decided not to keep a grudge on him anymore. Beeji could tell that Viren held himself responsible for this, which made her feel a little better. Mannan came out and told them they are getting Jeevika prepared inside. He left and Viren was feeling helpless.
viren - "Virat, I should be the one inside holding her hand. Making her feel everything is okay. Not anyone else"
virat - "Bhai you know how bhabhi will react right? She will get panicked and the test won't go smoothly. It's okay Dr. Mannan is inside with her."
Everyone was praying to god that everything be alright with Jeevika. The doctors came out after an hour.
dr - "So the procedure went by safely"
Everyone was relieved at first"
dr - "But according to the tests we did, the baby is not growing safely inside. Now this means that there are very high chances of Jeevika having a miscarriage before she is able to deliver. And it is very likely that we will have to deliver the baby much much earlier than expected if situations require it to be. Right now though she is stable, but very weak. I wouldn't recommend going back, but actually staying here for the next few months. She needs to come in weekly for appointments and it isn't safe for her to travel"
virat - "Thank you very much doctor. Can we go meet her?"
dr - "Yeah, we will be moving her to the outpatient room where she will rest for a few hours and then you can take her home"
The doctors left including Mannan. The nurse came and told them Jeevika was back in the room. They all went except for Viren. He didn't want to hurt her more as he knew she already must have been in a lot of pain. As everyone went inside the room they saw Jeevika laying on one side and tears coming out. They could tell she was feeling a lot of pain right now.
manvi - "Di don't worry everything is okay. Don't cry. The doctor has prescribed pain medication and you'll start feeling better"
vanshika - "Beta, you have to be strong for your baby"
Jeevika was a little shocked to see Vanshika there, but she was glad. She loved Vanshika just like her own mother.
Jeevika tried speaking
j - "Mannu"
manvi - "Yeah di, do you want something?"
j - "Mannu I want my Virenji back. I need him with me. I was all alone inside with the doctors. Alone with my baby in danger. I want my old husband back Mannu. I can't raise this baby on my own. Please bring back my Virenji."
Manvi wiped away her di's tears and smiled. She too had started crying unknowingly. Manvi gave Virat a look and he went outside to get Viren. As soon as Viren entered everyone went outside. Little did Jeevika know that the whole family including Viren had come to meet her in Rishikesh. She was still under the impression that he was still angry at her and would always remain so. Viren went to Jeevika's side and held her hand tightly. He sat down on the stool right next to her.
j - "Virenji"
v - "Jeevika, shh. Please don't say anything. I'm very very sorry for all of this. I don't deserve you at all. You stood by me with every crisis in my family and I got all my frustration out on you and my baby. I know this is a lot to ask, but please forgive me"
j - "I love you. Please don't leave me alone like this again, okay?"
v - "Never in this world would I dare to do that. I promise you we will get through this together. You, me and our baby okay. No matter what I have to do to keep you happy we will. Even if you don't want to go back to Chandigardh we will stay here in Mumbai. Just stay strong for me"
Jeevika slightly nodded yes and Viren gave her a kiss on her cheek taking away her tears.
v - "You're the most beautiful woman I've laid my eyes on"
Jeevika smiled and was starting to feel better already. No matter how much she tried hating him it was impossible. He was the love of her life and would always be!!!
