Finally caught up with the episode. The orphanage officials declared yesterday that maybe Rashi needs a little more time to become a mother, that she may just not be ready yet. On this I agree and like a few times of late, I am going to disagree with Koki's statement to the officials.
Koki said that it is unfair that the officials took the decision based on such a short time. However, I think this was the best way. The officials officials got their idea from seeing Rashi in her true self and fortunately did not see the 'pretend' Rashi that was being planned all along.
The Modis are a good family but in their emotional state they are failing to see what the third party, the orphanage officials saw with Rashi's behavior. Bathed in pity and tears the Modis have failed to see that Rashi is still childish, hardly has patience and is very very petty and spiteful.. This is what the officials saw in her behavior to the children. This is the true Rashi. Not the one Gopi imagines her to be and not the one the Modis want to convince themselves that she is. Taking the emotions aside and looking at it as a third person, the officials decision was right and I admire their frankness when they told Gopi that maybe Rashi needed more time. She may be good with Meera but that is her own blood. She is not so good with outside kids. The child is an outside kid BTW. That is why the officials were there, to see if Rashi could consider another outside baby as her own.
I do not think that the officials made a hasty decision. As much as I think that Rashi was pushed by the kids, yet the way she reacted to them was not actually admirable.
Kids make you go mad. I will accept that completely. Especially at times when you have planned for something. They sometimes do tend to ruin certain set things. But that is life. They are called kids mainly because of that. One thing a parent soon learns is the fact that kids will be kids. They will require amplitude of patience and a special endurance. Kids make mistakes and they learn from them too but in their own way. There is one conversation in the book Little Women that Jo's mother tells her when asked if she ever got angry. She explains to Jo that she does, everyday but she understood from her husband that anger never solves anything. Wise words from a mother of 4.
That is exactly what the orphanage officials told Rashi today. They watched her as she told the kids that if they had been hers, she would certainly spank them, this one for eating icecream.
Then comes the winner. Rashi, our ever so spiteful Rashi decides that the best way to teach the kids a lesson is to ruin the ball they are playing with and smiling gleefully at their woe.. That was the clincher. One does not do that.. Certainly not. So yes. Kids can be infuriating at times and make you want to pull your hair but that does not give us the excuse to be mean and cruel to them and tell them that they are little devils.
BTW, the kids were not that bad. They ate icecream out of the fridge unattended but did not even make a mess and they played and broke a vase. Every kid breaks a neighboring window or two. The fun is in that. Yeah, one gets angry but one also remembers their own childhood and sees the other side of their play. We do not go breaking their balls and telling them that that is what they deserve. It is not time for the kids to become cynical.
Rashi super tension and her mean streak gave her away to the officials and inspite of the best coverup attempted she was not to get a child from the orphanage. I think Urmi comes to play now. Lets see how she got that baby boy for Rashi. BTW, how the heck did she lay her hands on one
On a side note.. Fulguni is in this with Dhawal. Wow. And the girl worked like charm. Kinjal's feelings are out in the open. I loved it!!😳
** We finally get Ahem in the precap. From the posts I read today, looks like a lot of people missed him.
** Was I sad for Rashi? A bit. One does not deserve that blunt decision. However I think back and I guess this was Rashi's choice. When she decided she wanted a baby this minute, she should have thought through the things she will put herself to. Tests from officials, judgements and some disappointments. The family was against her trying for adoption in the beginning because they saw some possibilities. Although no one will admit, I think a No from the agency was always on cards. Rashi may be in tears for losing what she thought was a victory she deserved but I think she will get over it.
I know this PoV of mine may sound harsh on Rashi. However having seen children, not orphans but children coming from broken homes and those where parents do not have time for their kids it seems only practical that when it is a question of adoption, even the slightest doubts should be checked out.
I am not sure how good social services and adoption agencies keep in check of the adoptive parents but given that RaJi are very young, have no parenting experience, are capable of getting pregnant themselves and actually were not really ready for a baby until like a week back, it is hard for me to be sorry for a decision that is extremely sensible. It has saved 3 lives, Rashi, Jigar and the baby's.
But I speak too soon. Urmi just completely overrode everything I said above.😕
