The first Mystery Man saga

What did you think of it? I felt the ending was really, really tame. The Mystery Man, quite smart, did something stupid when he stepped into Vinnie's house- he taunted the others. He could have just pretended it was just business as usual and then done his bit, completely unnoticed. For someone who knows the BFFs so well, he didn't anticipate the slippery flooring of Maheshwari Villa, and honestly, the kind of person he is, he was missing smoke bombs and flash bombs, that could cover his tracks better. And finally, who was it? If it wasn't Varun's psychotic brother, it could be someone totally random to keep the real mastermind covered and instead, endanger the BFFs. Interesting saga, but a rather tame ending.

I'm sure the Mystery Man is a cover for Varun's whereabouts, which is in turn a cover for a very dark secret that the other BFFs are keeping. But where is Varun's family? Still, nobody knows. Maybe this Mystery Man is a decoy planted by the real mastermind?

One more mystery man has surfaced. He's threatened Ella.

We need a written update. Here's a substitute of sorts. That mystery man could have revealed their secret, but just kept grunting and snarling, as he was taken away. He could not, or rather, did not, speak. Maybe he will speak later. Maybe he'll write it out. Maybe this was a decoy, after all.

Part of the secret opened up before us when the trio were in the room. It seems Ella told Sanju to do what had to be done, and she suggested keeping this a secret. The motive was Varun getting wild. I have a hunch they wanted to do away with him somehow, and he pretended that they did, only to come back in hiding.

Inspector Abhay probed the trio hard, why they were still there, and why they were the only targets of these crimes. Incidentally, Abhay is the one who handles their cases all the time.

Prithvi lets loose another shayari.

The week's promo features a man in silhouette. That man looks a lot like one of the men running behind Sanju at the start of the "four months later" arc. He claims to know a secret about Ella and Vinnie that even Sanju doesn't know.

In the precap, Varun, or his twin brother, takes a call. His face seems intact.

OK, that wasn't Varun, but former sports trainer Daljit, who was getting too close to Ella and was terminated from the college. He seems to have taken down Varun, after the first Mystery Man was taken in. Maybe that was Varun after all? What eventually happened to him?
