It was past midnight when Geet felt a hand snaking around her waist nd her eyes jerked open as she recognize the warmth nd touch of the person to whom that hand belongs nd she just tucked in her tummy when she felt him pulling her closer to him such that her back was touching his taut chest. "So why didn't you wake me up Maan? I was sleeping beside you only, you should have asked me. Wait! Let me help you." Geet said as she held Maan's shoulders to help him while cursing herself for not sensing his difficulty before.

He still can't believe his luck which is giving him back all those happiness once again that he had lost once infact he's getting more than what he lost in the form of Geet, his heart reminded him as he looked at Geet intently who was now keeping the glass back at the table. May be this is the perfect tym, may be this is the perfect moment where he could think of weaving new dreams for his future with her, where he could think of living once again, Where he could demolish those boundaries around his heart completely which were already broken, where he could give himself nd their relationship a chance. May be this is the perfect tym when he can finally listen to his heart which was screaming out loud that he too can fall in love once again or maybe he had already fallen in love nd was just still a bit hesitant to accept this feeling as love, Maan thought as he looked at Geet who was looking back at him with a sweet smile.
"Feeling better now." Geet asked softly as she looked at him concerned nd Maan just nodded his head in affirmation while smiling slightly knowing that he's feeling far than better.
"Why you didn't wake me up Maan when you are feeling so much uncomfortable. You know Na how deep your injuries are nd doctors has strictly said that you shouldn't exert your body much. What if you got hurt? You Na never listen to anyone in front of yourself. I am telling you……." She couldn't continue further as Maan kept his finger on her lips thus halting her ranting.
"Chup! Bilkul Chup! I am absolutely fine. Nothing has happened to me. So now you also stop panicking. Hhmmm" Maan said in his baritone voice as he placed his finger on her lips silencing her nd Geet just nodded innocently feeling a shiver down her spine with the feel of his finger on her supple lips as he gulped the lump that has just formed in her throat to hide her nervousness from him. Maan removed his finger from her lips after a while caressing the softness of her petals in the process nd each nd every cell of his body burned in desire to feel that softness against his.
"Maan, you are sweating." Geet whispered in a worry as she saw sweat beads on Maan's forehead nd this is when Maan realized that he was sweating too after having such an erotic dream.
"Maan, Why are you sweating this much? AC to is on full yet you are sweating. Aapki Tabiyat to theek hai Na? I'll just call to Doctor, No first I'll call Vicky or Dev, Haan." Geet ranted as she kept his palm on Maan's forehead to check if he's having temperature while Maan just rolled over his eyes seeing her getting so much hyper. Now how would he going to make his naive wife understand that why he was sweating this much. How is he going to make her understand that he's sweating not because he's not fine but because of his erotic dream for her, he thought as he saw Geet getting up from bed to go towards the door nd Maan instantly holds her wrist to stop her from going while Geet just looked at him confused.
"Geet, I am absolutely fine. There's no need to make everyone worry for me. So just take a deep breath nd calm down." Maan said as he pulled her slightly towards him making her to sit back on bed.
"But……." She tried to say something but one glare of Maan nd she instantly shuts up her mouth while pouting cutely making Maan to chuckle cutely at this cute antic of his wife.
"Geet I wanted to say something." Maan said softly after a while as he gently holds her hand in his nd Geet's breath got hitched in her throat as she looked at his hold on her hand nd then back in his eyes which were showing some different emotions than what she use to see before, something which seems to be the reflection of her own feelings but she don't know whether she's right in thinking this or wrong nd she could only nod her head in affirmation asking him to continue further when she was having goosebumps all over her body due to Maan softly caressing the skin of the back of her palm with his thumb.
"Geet, it's the thing that I wanted to say from so many days but with the turn of events we were not able to see each other properly then forget about talking. Geet, I just wanted to say that…… (He closed his eyes for a while nd took a deep breath before continuing) that I am sorry Geet for whatever happened between us till now ns especially in those 2 months." Maan said genuinely as he looked deep into her eyes nd Geet just looked at him in shock nd surprise.
"Maan ye Aap……"
"No Geet let me speak today. I know you can't see me in guilt nd I also know that you had forgiven me also after reading my letter but still there are lots of things which I wanted to say face to face nd I won't be in peace until I lighten my heart. Please let me say my heart today." Maan interrupted in between as he looked at her pleadingly nd Geet just nodded her head indicating him to continue further.
"Geet, we both know in what circumstances we got married nd this also we both know that we tried our best to keep this marriage working especially you; but somewhere something has failed nd this failure was from my side Geet. I had failed not once, not twice but many times. I failed to understand the reason of you sitting outside KM waiting for me than to shout at you for not going inside or inform me, I fail to understand what you were feeling when that moment transpired between us than to distance myself from you, I failed to see your innocence in your eyes when you were trying to say that you didn't do those renovations than to blame you for it, And Geet I failed to notice all those big nd small acts of mine which were though correct according to me but they were pushing you in the pit of insecureness by every passing moment. And I know that no matter how many tymes I apologize for it but it won't change the fact that though unknowingly I had always disappointed you.
You had given your 100 % in our marriage but I failed to do that. But I haven't done all this intentionally. I was just trying to save you from getting hurt due to me as I don't want to give you any kind of false hopes due to my behaviour but I didn't realize that I had ended up in hurting you even more. And I wouldn't have even realized it also if you haven't spoken your heart that day. In true sense, it was then I realize the intensity of my actions nd I am truly Sorry for that Geet. I am sorry for hurting an Angel like you nd may be the state in which I am today was the punishment I got from god for hurting you. But I want your punishment Geet. I want you to punish me in whatever way you want after that only I'll get some peace but Geet please don't be aloof around me like you were in those 6 days as a punishment for me because I won't be able to bear it Geet.
You know Geet in those 6 days when you were not talking to me, was being aloof around me, I realize that how empty my lyf is with your indifference. It was then I realize that your laughter, your smile, your cute antics, you innocent yet mature talks, everything about you had became my necessity, YOU had became my necessity. Yes Geet, its true, I don't know when at which moment but you had became an integral part of my lyf nd I was afraid to call this feeling as Love as I had always believed that Love can happen only once nd I had done that Love with Sameera then how can I Love you. Though he had done it before too but it was through letter nd now he was saying everything face to face where she could easily observe his each nd every expression right from his remorse to his helplessness to his wish to move on with her to his pleading for that one chance, for her just little support; that genuineness in his eyes, when he had said those words everything has touched Geet deep in her heart nd her love for him increased 10 folds after seeing him confessing his inner turmoil to her. This is what she always wished in their relationship since the tym she realized her feelings for him, to be his companion in each nd every step of his lyf no matter how thorny the path is nd today when he's asking her to be his companion then how can she refuse to it. No, she can never ever refuse to him for anything even if he asks for her lyf then here he's asking only some trust, some tym from her then how can she not give him that. She looked at his hold on her hands then back at him only to find him looking back at her expectantly nd at that very moment she knows what she has to do.

But that day when I read your letter I realized that how much turmoil you were facing. If I was in pain over here then even you were not happy. You were burning in your own miseries nd my behaviour in those 6 days had just added fuel to the fire but still you were trying to bring me back to normal while all I was doing is to turn down all your attempts in the daze of my fears, my insecurities.
It was then after reading your letter I realize that how tough it is getting for you to accept this change in our relationship, to move on in your lyf after losing your first Love. I had decided then only Maan that I'll give you whatever amount of tym you wanted even if it is for whole of my lyftym but I will never force you for anything nd will wait for you to accept our relationship with all your heart. This is what I had decided since the tym we got married but I don't know how I got distracted by my way nd ended up in hurting you in the course of saving myself from getting hurt more. But now at this moment if I give everything a thought then I realize that it was neither your mistake nor mine. The circumstances in which we got married nd the change in our relationship followed after that had brought us here where we are today.
But now from this moment I want to forget everything that happened between us in past nd start afresh. There's no use to mull over what happened in past so please you also don't feel guilty of whatever happened between us. Maan I don't know what is stored in future; I don't know that tomorrow's sun will bring what change in our relationship all I know is that I want to live my present with you. I want to live in the moments which I spend with you in present rather than thinking about our future. We had wasted enough tym in hurting each other nd then regretting over it but now I want our relationship to start as afresh. Let's be friends just like we were before our marriage. "So let's just start it all over again. Hi I am Geet Handa oops Khurana. I am Geet Maan Singh Khurana, Mujhse Dosti Karoge" Geet said as she forwarded her hand towards him offering him her friendship nd Maan just keeps on looking at her for a moment before holding her forwarded hand in his while giving her a warm smile accepting her friendship.
Is she the same girl who has a big nd uncanny mouth when he had met her for the first tym? Is she the same girl who was sulking big tym because her sister had not told her about her love interest? It was then he realized that she had transformed herself so much that now he feels that had he ever known her? How maturely nd easily he had freed him from his guilt. He didn't missed the pride on her face when she had introduced herself as Geet Maan Singh Khurana, it was as if her whole world resides in him only. The only thing that still remained unchanged in her is her innocence nd her expressive hazels nd this is what makes her different from every other girl nd he's proud of the fact that this innocent, cute, mature nd childish woman belongs to him for whole of his lyftym nd he'll make sure that he'll never ever hurt her in future, he thought as he looked at her unblinkingly while grasping her hand firmly in his unaware of the fact that how his simple touch is sending shivers in Geet's body yet she's trying her best to not to show him the crimson red color of her cheeks due to his intense gaze.
"Maan, my hand" Geet softly whispered after sometym when it becomes difficult for her to control herself from not hugging him tight breaking Maan's reverie nd he instantly lefts her hand looking other side giving both of them ample of tym to compose herself

Geet said as sternly as she could while trying her best to control her laugh seeing Maan's perplexed face but it was soon replaced by a smirk as he realized her naughtiness in order to lighten the atmosphere
"Hhmmm so in that case what would be my punishment your highness?" Maan said as he looked at her smirking nd for a moment Geet forgot to breath seeing his killer smirk.
"That I'll tell you but not now. I'll tell you when the tym will come nd you have to accept that." Geet said as she pointed her finger on him almost warning him making him chuckle out loud.
"Sure Ma'am. Your wish my command" Maan said as he bowed his head in front of her before both of them burst out in the fit of laughter.
"Ok I think we had done enough of talking for tonight. Let's get back to sleep or else tomorrow Doctor will strangle me for not taking care of yours." Geet said as she tries to subside her laughter realizing that its really very late nd Maan needs proper rest before getting up from bed to help him in laying down.
"Geet." she heard his hoarse voice nd felt a tug on her wrist before she could get up from bed nd as she looked at him her heart stirred seeing the intensity of his eyes.
"Can I hug you?" Maan whispered hoarsely nd for some reasons Geet felt her entire being numb seeing the intensity of emotions in his eyes nd his baritone voice didn't helped either. All she could do is to smile faintly while nodding her head in acceptance nd next moment she was cocooned in his embrace as he wrapped his free arm firmly yet protectively around her petite form.
"Thanks for being there in my lyf Geet." Maan whispered in her ear as he held her close to him while closing his eyes relishing the feeling of having her in his arms so close to his heart.
"I'll be always there with you Maan. For forever. No matter what." She replied softly as she rested her head close to his heart while closing her eyes seeking the solace of his embrace submitting her entire being to him not only for this lyftym but for every lyftym.
