A year before,on March 26,2012 when Uttaran aired its first episode post the leap,many ppl were surprised that all d main characters dont recognize/know about d existence of other main characters. It was assumed that d reunions will happen gradually thereby forming d crux of d story. But as things turned up, d storyline did not turn out to be gr8 and the show became a bhaji market-too many characters,too less story.
But this past week, things turned bright all of a sudden, what didnt happen in 10 months happened in 5 days. All possible reunions happened,some even overlapping d other. D emotional quotient was high nd it made for a truly wonderful 5 episodes. Whether Uttaran will continue to rise or onceagain go off on a tangent, only next week will tell. But 5 episodes of positive characters happens only in a blue moon in Uttaran,and next week,things should settle back,just lyk d dust after a storm.
We hope that the emotional quotient is kept high, and Uttaran matches up and learns from say,Na Bole Tum Na maine Kuch Kaha, which in it's first week of season-2 managed to bring up possibly some of the best episodes shot on Indian television. If that happens- 9.30pm TO 10.30pm will be a viewer's delight and we can all have happy,merry nights.:)
