Zoe could have just laughed off and giggled at Asad's irritation at the messy way the food was being served to him . She didn't. She risked getting exposed to him and re-arranged his food properly in the plate and cleaned the brass tumbler with her red veil. She taunts and ridicules Asad's OCD over cleanliness but today , at his slightest discomfort over the same, she did exactly what he liked - clean up everything so that her Jahanpanah can eat at his comfort. A flawed woman with a flawless heart.
Asad's attention and eye was caught by the lady in red whose face he could not see. Its not that he didn't get any 'Zoe feelers' once she rearranged his food and water. He did. But it didn't hit him until their legendary Blackberry Phones Chaos that the girl in red was his Hoity Toity Miss. New York. All his tehzeeb, orthodox etiquette where thrown off as he chased Zoe around during the dance party. A prim-propah Asad actually caught Zoe , took off her veil, pulled her close to restrain his anger and pulled her away by her arm. A flawless man who becomes just as flawed as Zoe when she ruffles his feathers.
Later, when Asad tells Zoe categorically that she is going back to Bhopal and the 'conversation is over', its touchy to see Zoe's face fall and complain like a child for the first time that conversation is between two people. If he doesn't listen to her , doesn't talk to her at all, how will he ever understand her?
Yet, in the need of hour, the only helping hand , the only heart that she could trust more than her guts was Asad's. Sitting right in front of her when she had done something dangerous in a moment of insane courage for Maryam's sake - Zoe thought of nothing else but him. She could have run away but she needed a reassurance that she will be protected. And at least for her life and honour, Zoe's faith in Asad is abnormally unbelievable. Or is it the soulmate connection? Must be.
What we gather on AsYa from today's episode and the coming ones is that Asad and Zoe may disapprove of each-other as people , but in the need of hour, they will always lend a cushion to each-other.
You cannot help but appreciate AsYa as excellent human beings. Zoe didn't even once think that what will become of her when she entered the cage and set Maryam free from a marriage of shame. Asad will not think even once before going against his own people to keep Zoe alive. So, how can they not be soulmates.
Lastly, Razia is on a desperation spree where she is ruining Humaira's and Ayaan's lives and she will end up destroying what they have at least - an innocent friendship. Emotions also need brains , Razia . Not desperate measures.
