First thought when you were out
Gaurav: I was surprised when we finished our performance and then heard the marks others were getting, I knew then that we would be out, no one - Narayani or my choreographers believed me. That's because they haven't really understood the mathematics of the concept. I used to be good at math is school (laughs), may be that's why I figured out that we could be the second last ones, but even if we were the second last ones and the margin was big, I knew they would vote us out as I think the world is good enough to support the better ones. So it was clear to me it wasn't really a shock. The shock and the pleasant surprise is with the response we are getting, it is over whelming!
Narayani: I was equally shocked, but I was mentally prepared after the first round when we were told the new voting jodi's out concept, we knew that some day we will be standing there and obviously nobody likes competition - so we knew that if we were standing there, we would be out! I had prepared myself for it, mentally.
Reaction of other Jodis
Gaurav: This is a contest with actors in it, and I think every one did their acting jobs well. You had the entire spectrum from the genuine, to the diplomatic, to the fake. They were those who voted for us and said that later on. There were people who voted against us and genuinely came up to us and explained their circumstances and cried. And I had to console them and get them to feel better… I was like 'who is going out today?' Who is crying? and who is making who feel better? There were the diplomatic ones who came and said they were really sorry. And then, there were the fake ones who voted us out and gave reactions like they had just won Miss Universe. You had the entire acting spectrum - So bravo to all the acting fraternity!</>
Narayani: The episode is out, and everybody saw it. The two couples who voted for us were - Hiten-Gauri and Tina-Hussain. I know both of them personally and I knew they would be people from whom I can expect this… For no other reason than that they are are not insecure in many other ways. Shweta-Manav - I don't blame, I know them as very sweet people and they had their reasons and I have nothing against them, we had a talk and we are as close as we were, in fact we are even closer now.
The rest of the people I didn't know so I didn't expect anything from them. If I had got a positive response I would be very happy to win - I had a bet with Gaurav as I was in my own dream world that that "aisa nahi hota hain" and we would win. But Gaurav won this one! But I wasn't hurt that they didn't vote for us as they were not my friends. Though I did find it strange that the people who did vote for us gave such shocking expressions just for television. It was like a daily show in a reality show again! Be bold enough and stand by what you did!
Hopes on wild card round
Narayani: Actually I am not, I kind of cut myself in my mind very fast. I am not enthu about anything. I am only enthu about dancing and I can dance anytime. But off late, such weird things have been happening that I really don't know how to react to... I really did not know - This is what fans are supposed to be… How they are and when they love, this is how they love. They show you affection! I am embarrassed, and more than surprised.
Gaurav: No hopes just performance, the only thing we have learnt... We are sulking a little bit, we are not denying that. We are not putting the owness on anybody, not crying unfair, or partial. It leaves you with the feeling that we can't be sure of what can happen on this show and hence all we can do is make sure that the performance has the fire that we feel now.
We were genuinely trying to play different roles in each round. These concepts were mine and hence I speak - what were wore - the concept for the costumes has been mine, the concept for the look has been ours, the whole change in characterization has been ours. We though - this was an actor's dance competition and so we should play each round a an opportunity to play a different character… which would mean that it should be a different kind of a song, which means that you should not play to your strength all the time, you should give variety with the performance.... This was what we thought in a idealistic way. So we played a really graceful, westernized, sophisticated suave without dramatizing the steps too. Though it was a thumping song, we could have had higher energy. I have already proved that I could put in more energy.
In the next round we were being plain desis - we were not dressed up in Navrathri glamorous outfits but in genuine village outfits in the Bollywood sense. We wanted the difference and did the same. In the third round we were kids, forth was a different characterization, so was the fifth and so on. It was all planned... the plan is spoilt a little bit.
In terms of hopes from the wild card level, we are not really sure… There is a fire within. There is a great sense of gratitude for the support we are getting and apart from these two things, there are no other driving force. It is not just going to be a good song and good performance it is going to have the fire, it is gong to have your love!
You seemed to be the most natural dancers, are either of you trained dancers?
Gaurav: Neither of us are trained dancers. I am some one who has danced in moments of happiness, when I was sad. Narayani and I have patched up by dancing. We naturally like to dance, which is why we are in the competition. It's not for anything but the love for dancing. I have a little fantasy; I was going to offer to the organizers, if we could get complimentary performance as per the sequence in each round. Because we have already planned everything!
Narayani: Actually all my five sisters are, we are five sisters - 13 of their kids. I am the only black sheep in the family. I am in this profession and I am trained for nothing! In our family, I guess it is in our blood, all of us love to dance. We need an opportunity to celebrate. I have always loved dancing!</>

About Choreographers
Narayani: They are two kids - 23 and 24 they are a powerhouse, full of ideas, creativity. Yes NB was a platform for them but if you have to be successful, nothing can hold you back! I have put my money on them - In the near future, you will be seeing them as one of the biggest choreographers. You can sense good talent! They are very disheartened, but they are thinking of what we should do for the wild card, they have the spirit and it will not die.
Gaurav: Sumit and Sahil, they are cutest looking boys whom you can lay your eyes upon! They are so passionate. They have a immense amount of experience - A huge volume of work behind them. Their passion matches ours! The collaboration has been super easy and smooth. We are lucky to have them. I can promise you that they will be doing great work and I wish them the best of luck!</>
About Fans
Gaurav: Since the first week, everyone those recording were blown away by the performance, the marks were not as good but we are not complaining. We were dressed and conducted ourselves differently, and the response was henceforth slightly different, so was the second round, which was again enjoyed thoroughly. After the first round people were giving me smiles, by the second the smiles grew longer and waving when I passed by in the cars, now after we have been out, the response has been awesome! Humbling, I don't have words, I think we are indebt and I shall try and replay with what ever I can. They were 15 people standing out side Siddivinayak temple holding placards. I don't know who they are, I wish I did. The next day after the show was out - we had notes at our building gate. At film city, some students stuck notes saying they love us and that they will bring us back. My car was stopped by an auto and they said they have never seen such graceful acceptance of defeat and they didn't think it was defeat, they said they will bring us back!
At moments like these we feel ecstatic, there is so much emotion, that it's not an actor feeling like a star, it is an actor feeling like a human being! I have a strong desire to repay this and I shall do my best!
Narayani: They have been continuous messages and calls, my mail is full, it's not just messages to me, they message people whom we know, which have been forwarded to us. I am more than happy, I am flattered. I have not experienced something like this before.

Gaurav: I hope you didn't vote for us in the last round, it would have gone for a waste, other than a capital T and Y - Thank You! I genuinely bow my head for all this!
Please save all your love and appreciation in a bank, let interest grow on it, take it out when we are on wild card again, we will need all your support then! You votes are really important for us, please don't just vote for someone because you watched the show, or they are from your state or they speak your language. Give it those whom you feel for, for those who deserve it!
With the second pair Narayani - Gaurav, the biggest competition for the rest, being voted out of the show the couples are very wary as no one knows what will happen next or who will vote for whom? Who will be the next to get out or who will be voted out?
