well in south india...dat symbolises da sacred bond between husband nd wife. i ws sooo happy nd shocked at the same tym wen i saw he exactly tuk tht finger...😳.

here saath pheras r taken in north ...well in south the var takes vadhu's lil finger nd rounds the fire...nly seven steps. while taking those steps...the lil fingers r connected...dey say it is sacred...nd related to heart nerves nd all.

this also relates dat he will never evr leave madhu.

South Indian ritual while doing pheras...It may be symbolising that they are destined to be husband-wife (since they have not completed their marriage with all the rituals!)...Or may be they will keep bond of pat-patni forever whatever happens..something like that?
