first is showed the brother sister bond between arnav and anjali...no matter how much arnav tries to hide the truth, anjali can always see past his iron wall. she sensed that arnav was worried about khushi and cannot be at peace until he knows she is okay

khushi and arnav are both restless and cannot not sleep or relax because that incident is playing in their minds...for khushi it is anger and for arnav it is guilt

also we see that buaji's crush on shyam is growing to new heights...and is already praising him and saying good things about him to shashi, so maybe he will agree to the alliance of khushi and shyam...buaji thinks he is perfects because he is sweet and caring...and also did the impossible by making khushi calm down and stop making jalebies...that really does not make them perfect for each other...but now buaji's mind is working

also now nani is making a rishta for arnav...she knows how he feels about it but she is too stubborn...i guess that is where arnav gets his stubbornness from

and Happy Birthday to Abbhas Mehra aka Shyam Babua

Just loved your entire review. So spot on!!!

I loved what you said here: "he was drooling over khushi while we were drooling over him." That made me crack up! 🤣 You know what? Sometimes I find myself drooling over Khushi too because she is just a really gorgeous character inside and out! 🤣 She was OMG so breathtaking in the Diwali episodes. Not surprised why Arnav came out because resistant was futile!! Loved how he drooled over her!

"resistant was futile!!" 😆 right you are! if it wasn't for that damn Aman, who know if he would've been able to snap out of it. OMG the way they were looking as eachother (if felt bad 4 La, if my hot BF looked at another girl like that he would inside the pool not on side of it). I do find myself drooling over her, hence i also included her in my drool corner 1st rabba ve episode 😃

what made him exciting and precious was not his tortured past and the jagged edges thanks to it. there are many characters in all sorts of literature and arts who have the appeal of the cut and torn. heathcliff. othello. my little obsession, don draper. oh there are many and all of us i'm sure have a favourite or two.

what made asr beautiful to me, was the way he dealt with his share of rain, his terrible difficulties at a very young age. he faced it, fair and square. he never ran away into fantasy or try to make it better with stories and platitudes. it is true, people say they can understand what you feel, but no one can ever feel the emotions you go through when you cremate both your parents, touching them with the fire that will annihilate, end it all.

his entire sense of trust was badly shaken. his father had betrayed his mother, him and his sister too. the father is a place of trust, respect, solidity. none of that for this boy of 14. gone in a moment.

along with it, his haven of love, shelter, growth: his mother.

how terrible that his mother had killed herself because of his father's actions. his beloved mother who tried to teach her taciturn, angry, little chhotey the meaning of life, the value of conscience, of examining things, of giving the rose a chance.

he could have easily become incredibly bitter, harsh, cold. and rich and materially successful, while being drop dead good looking. oh yes, even that would have made him an exciting man, especially watching a woman break through layers of this darkness to matter like mad would be delicious.

but asr went much further than that. he did it his way.

(ok me sucker for individualistic people, do their own thing, prepared to face the consequences, but think and act according to what they feel is right, sounds familiar?)

he held the pain by its horn and charged right back at it, with all of himself, not some cut and lacerated bits of him, everything that's him, the good, the bad, the scared, the broken, the laughing, everything. he promised himself he'd make it ok for all those he loved. that trust, that respect, that solidity, he would restore all of it. he will be nothing like his father (though interestingly the writers gave him his dad's anger issues, wish they had dome something with it), he was nothing like him. he would be honest, clean, hard working, dependable.

and he would not depend on anyone else, i feel this came from the extreme sense of betrayal he felt re one person, the one he depended on, perhaps at some point even his hero, his father.

no god, kismet, fate. asr would make his own destiny himself. no problem if his di and whole family needed their bhagwan to make things happen. he wouldn't try to change them, another sign of strength in my eyes. but he would go it alone. if power and money were what mattered, he'd create enough never to have to look back. of course, there was much about life the boy had to learn, and go way beyond power and money, but his way of dealing with tragedy and his clear eyed courage in taking it all on, breathtaking. my feeling, there was lots of asr's mother and her basic positivity and integrity in his basic character. so even when he seemed harsh and terrible, some part in him always breathed and felt human. ah the guest house scene. dead.

only one concession to the turmoil, and maybe only because a part of him just ached and cried within (for which child would not want their dad to be who they thought they were), maybe that's why the closing down of his heart in one matter. women and love. arnav singh raizada ko kissi ladki se koi faraq nahin padta. a boy was keeping his hurt inside and away, while somehow trying to make amends to his mom. don't worry, i won't ever fall like that, i will always love you and di and my family with all of me. i will be there. i will not fall and become like him, your husband. no place for women inside me, no allowing them in. no getting crried away to saansey ruk jaygi moments. di, you're becoming like nirupa roy every day. a fabulous defence put up by one shattered within and trying to stay calm and strong. (all my conjectures, all may be wrong.)

by giving himself a real job to do in crisis i feel he saved himself. anger brought intensity, but he let his intelligence bring guidance.
his primary reason for going forward was not hate, it became love. for his sister. he anchored himself there, and went into the future, as its maker. this indomitable spirit and not the tortured soul is what made him so very dear to me. not just another troubled, good looker, i wanted to hold in my arms and nurse back to lau and such stuff. but a man i admired and wanted to learn from, thrilled me to hear his views on life, love, god, work, and more.

sorry, just coming out of asr deprivation tank, had to write an essay on the man. a bit all over the place, but you know this character deserves as deep a delve as any macbeth othello gora meursault heathcliff.

Indi, it's so wonderful to have you back! 🤗 Loved every bit of it especially the purple! You've beautifully and brilliantly captured every single essence of ASR.
Yes, I do know what's it like to lose a parent. But to lose both in such a tragic matter at a young age must have been completely devastating and traumatic! 😭 It's understandable why he had built such a hug wall around himself because this man completely loved and had a strong attachment to his mother! He didn't want to endure another pain such as this! Bravo to him for emerging to be such a strong pillar for his Di and the whole family!
Thank you so much for sharing, Indi! 🤗 You've beautiful expressed and penned down your thoughts! 👏 Loved it and I actually had the urge to highlight EVERYTHING in purple! Looking forward to read more of your analyses!

Oops, wrong spelling...it's suppose to be "resistance" Sorry kinda off topic but I'm such a trekkie!! What I really wanted to say to ASR: "Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!" 🤣 No way you could resist Khushi The Goddess!! 😆

Episode 30

A MOUNTAIN OF JALEBI (kushi)

GH- Kushi is in the kitchen frantically making and eating jalebi as she is remembering all the incidents between her and ASR.😡 From the first time she met him she could see in her mind's eye😕 the runway fall into his arms and how he broke her pearl dori threatening her, and him ripping her dupatta, and him letting go of her hand and her falling on the boxes in the office and finally the incident in the guesthouse and him holding on to her wrists and pinning her up against the wall. All these nightmares (memories) were piling up in her mind😕😡😕 just like the mountain of jalebi she was frying up. Beautiful, yummy jalebi, a delicate pastry fried up in oil and coated with a simple syrup….not so when Kushi made them. They were made whenever she was worried, angry😡 or upset. She would make the batter and FLING it into the cloth and then frantically make her circular coils rapidly, vigorously and angrily. She wouldn't stop until her anger dissipated or she ran out of ingredients. Whichever came first and usually she ran out of ingredients. She would also eat them as she was cooking them. She loved jalebi it was her favorite dessert😛, although she enjoyed all sweets, but this one just made her happy😆. Funny how one dessert could affect a person in different ways.😡😆

TURN, TURN, TURN (arnav)

RM- Anjali and ASR in Chote's Room. Chote has his back turned to Di. He turns around and Di says, "Kya?What? How could you do that?" She questioned him like he was a little boy. She was stern and concerned. "How could you?" "Di, I didn't know!" 😳 He turns back. (In this scene, Arnav just kept turning his back, I believe he did it between 3-5x unable to face his Di and unable to face himself and what he has done). She continues, "Why do you bother her so much?" "I don't know why," he replies. She again reprimands him, she continues that he is the ruthless ASR😈 who puts up this front but she knows better she can see her brother's eyes and she can read his thoughts through them. He is worried she can see that, even if he denies it a million times. "Chote, we have been through a lot", she starts, he tries to turn away from her again but she won't let him. She holds on to his wrist, she is his support❤️. She is with him. "We have been hurt.💔" He looks hurt like that little boy. "We have been wronged. But it is in the past. Haven't I told you, not to let the past affect your future!" (We will hear this again at a later date!). He turns away again and tells her," I am not stuck in the past and I create my own destiny." She walks around to face him. "You have lost yourself on the way of creating your destiny. Why can't you show your feelings in your heart?👍🏼❤️ I know you are worried about Kushi. It has affected you."

He lifts his scarred hand, the hand that held her slight wrist so forcefully that it broke the bangle that injured both of them.😭 Their blood intermingled, their destinies intertwined, like a gypsy wedding bound for life. (Thanks, Sigrid, all credit to you for that). Yes, it HAS affected him.💔

"She could have died. How was she when you took her home?" "Unconscious", he said. "And now?" she asked. "I don't know."

"You need to find out, I'll call her home." She said "I don't care." He answered.

What a crock! That is like eating a mountain of jalebi with no sugar and no syrup. You just can't…if I said it was delicious, I would be lying just like him!!!😉

GH- Mountain of Jalebi con'td. Kushi is still in the kitchen making mountains of jalebi frantically working and eating😡. Buaji, Payal and Shyam watching. Shyam asks what is she doing and Payal answers that when Kushi is worried she makes jalebi. Buaji asks her if she is going to feed a wedding procession because there are so many jalebi there that they are overflowing, enough to feed a banquet. The phone rings. Payal goes to answer and Buaji is still worried about "the glutton". Shyam says not to worry he is here and he will take care of it. AGAIN! This man what doesn't he do?

Payal answers the phone to find Anjali on the other end all concerned. Payal wasn't very nice to her, asking her are they calling Kushi to work all night again and Anjali says 'no, I was worried and I am apologizing', Payal says Kushi is fine and hangs up. Buaji is like what is with that family 'one teases and hurts her and the other asks how she feels'.

Anjali tells ASR Payal is very upset and that sisters have to take care of their younger siblings especially when they are upset. Chote says , he 's not upset and didn't ask and Anjali says you don't have to ask your eyes do. (We all know how well Barun/ Arnac communicates with his eyes!!!). He looks down. "Don't worry, Kushi is OK." "I don't care." He replies. He walks away and Anjali smiles. He may not be able to eat that mountain of jalebi but Di certainly can!

Shyam asks Payal who called and she says Anjali. Shyam looks away. There is always a question in the air with Shyam when any of the Raizada's are mentioned or if any of their cars are in the neighborhood. Hmmm, fishy?😕

Buaji has called Kushi the Jalebi Machine and is still concerned because she hasn't stopped. She doesn't want to worry her parents and doesn't want Kushi to know that the Raizada's have called to worry her some more.

Shyam now enters the kitchen and does his smooth talking and for some reason he actually gets Kushi to stop making the jalebi with some of his philosophy. He suggest for her to forget the negative and think positive and see how good the jalebi actually taste! He hands her a jalebi and she tentatively takes it from his hands and eats it. (I almost feel like she is cheating on ASR).

Buaji says ,"I believe God has sent Shyam him for a purpose, like to master this crazy girl."👏

With the mountain of jalebi sitting on the counter, Payal takes Kushi to bed.

Shyam says to Buaji that he saw her so worried and that is the least I can do for this family. She blesses him.⭐️

RM- Nani, Anjali and Mami. Again the discussion of Lavanya and ASR. Mami thinks ,"Lavanya is better than Kushi, NO?" Nani knows what she has to do since Arnav is stubborn and once she makes a decision it is final. Uh, oh what is she up to? She leaves. Mami- the quiet before the storm!

GH- Payal is trying to put Kushi to sleep but she just can't. Everytime she closes her eyes she relives the guesthouse incident especially him holding her wrists.😳 She is visibly upset.😕😡 Payal is so concerned and says this is all her fault because she let her work. Kushi says she has a contract and Payal doesn't care about that she will not work there,😡 she was upset all day and Kushi doesn't want her parents to find out because they will worry. Kushi go to sleep!!!! No more making mountains of jalebi tonite!

Next day Buaji on the phone with papaji and she proceeds to tell him about the mountain of jalebi Kushi made, so he knew his daughter was worried, but everything is all right Shyam was there. He took care of everything, he handles Kushi and she won't go over his word. Thank God for Shyam⭐️, Buaji thinks. (we know better though)

RM- Akash asks his brother ASR didn't you sleep all night? Of course he didn't! His guilt kept him up all night he would have been better off putting himself into a diabetic coma eating the mountain of jalebi!😛

The brothers walk down the steps into the living room and lo and behold sits Nani, Mami and the priest with a family with a proposal for him! 🤢

Quick get the mountain of jalebi the wedding procession is here!😡

Welcome back Indi. U indeed came back with a bang.😉 As I have said to u, u r blessed with beautiful words and way to put them.👏 Loved how u went in depth of ASR character and brought back his qualities and his stengths. What made him and how and why. Yes, when one losses their parents at young age, it effects all of us. It is our upbrining which makes us deal with each situation. it builds us to which direction one shoulf take.
