In today's scene with Madhu and Balraj, I was struck by Madhu's goodness and Balraj's evilness.

One the one side we had Madhu. Although she is very uncomfortable with this stranger, Madhu still bandages his hand. That is our girl. Goodness prevails through all her actions. Madhu's innocence was shining through her face today. The angel.

Balraj was not the least bit effected by the angle's goodness. In fact, it was the opposite.

The more goodness that was coming out from Madhu, the more evil Balraj was getting.

Reminds me of stories with an angel and devil. The devil's motives are clear to all except the angel. The angel does not see the evil, does not hear the evil. The more goodness the angel shows, the more evil the devil becomes.

In the same way, Madhu did not see the evil intentions. If she had doubts she would have told RK.

Too bad Madhu's goodness did not effect Balraj even a little - but that just proves there is no saving him.

i completely second you!!! this scene reminds me of Paulo Coelho's one of the books "The Devil nd Miss Prym" the goodness never realizes the evil intentions until nd unless it tastes the bad nd evil.

same here...she is being testified here for her good or shall i say..the way she sees good in evry person. she doesnt see bad in the other person...evn if its stranger nd psycho person!!!
the symbolism of angel nd devil u referred ..i liked it. thnx for reminding me the symbolism!!😊

You know I was checking for the same, whether when Madhu took care of him by bandaging his hand whether he would feel some soft feelings of love for his daughter...he said some dialogues to that effect however when he was walking away his last thought was if that meeting with Madhu was dramatic enough...so all was his plan to rattle her.

But I was lying to myself initially when I saw him bring the sweets...I felt he wanted to give her some sweets after all his her father and she has never taken anything from him, not even a packet of sweets and when he forced her to take it, that's what I was lying to myself, however the last look back at her that's when I came to the conclusion it was a plan to be dramatic and therefore only to take her out of her comfort zone.

I completely agree. Balraj has the upper hand here and he will not lose it. He knows all of his enemies now, one by one. And except for his stupid greedy daughter, everyone is blissfully unaware.

Side thought: if Balraj was shown to have some paternal feelings for Madhu, it would make him human and I don't think the writers want to go there. Balraj is supposed to represent pure evil. See as bad as RK was/is, the writers have given him a back story and shown him changing because of Madhu.

No pure goodness can change this devil.
