Arohi's dad was reading newspaper and having a cup of tea in the living room. He kept the newspaper aside as the phone rang.

"Hello?" answered Sudhir. "Namaste Papa! Kaise hai app" greeted Arjun. "Arjun beta, aaj ka subah bohot hi achha hai, sabse pehle hi mera damad ka phone" Sudir said happily. Arjun smiled "aur mom kaisi hai?" "Mom bhi achhi hai, lekin mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ki meri beti bohot hi jald sasural wapas jane wali hai? Tumhari awaz mein khushi jhalak rahi hai!!" Sudhir inquired. Arjun with content feeling "ji Papa kuch aisa hi samjhiye, baas dua karna saab theek ho"

Sudhir with happiness "beta ye toh mein bhi chahta hoon, tum dono khush raho sirf. toh mein kya phone doon apni ghamandi beti aur tumhari nachhari biwi ko?" Arjun felt embarrassed as Sudhir was copying his tone, he slowly replied "ji Papa" Sudhir teased "mujhe pata hai tum usse aise hi bulate ho" Arjun kept quiet as Sudhir was telling the truth. Sudhir laughed "aur ye bhi Arohi itni asani se tumhara call nehi receive karegi" He emotionally continued "meri beti ka kheyal rakhna??" Arjun assured "aab mein Arohi ko apne se kabhi dur nehi jane dunga, I promise" Sudhir with gratitude "jeete raho, achha ruko mein Arohi ko bulata hoon"

Arohi came downstairs on Sudhir's call "ji Papa" Arjun's heartbeat raced fast listening to her melodious voice. "beta tumhara call hai" saying Sudhir forwarded the receiver to Arohi. Arohi looked him with confusion "mera phone? My cell is working perfectly fine toh yaha kaun phone karega" Sudhir shrugged his shoulder, "pata nehi, shayed koi apna ho?" saying he left to get ready for the office. Arohi stared at Sudhir's retreating back, she mumbled "ye Papa bhi na?"

She put the receiver on her ear and casually spoke "hello?" "kaisi ho?" asked Arjun from the other end. Arohi's heart skipped a beat as it didn't take a minute for her to recongnize his voice. There was silence in the conversation. Both had thousands of questions in their minds, they wanted to know how the other partner was doing. They had so many things to share, but no one broke the ice.

The silence between them also had its own ecstasy. They were not speaking, yet two hearts weren't bounded by words. They were beating in their own rhythm.

Aftrer wait of few minutes when she didn't reply, Arjun sincerely asked "dekho Arohi, plz phone maat katna? Tumhe baat nehi karni toh koi baat nehi, plz ek baar meri baat sunlo pehle" She still didn't speak a single word, neither cut the call. He took her silence as agreement "tumhe toh pata hoga humare liye party throw ki geyi hai college mein. So kya mein tumhe kal pick karlu? Mein chahta hoon ke hum saath jaye." He waited for her response again, still she didn't reply.

Arjun with disappointment "agar tum nehi chahti then I'll not force you, it's fine. Mein nehi chahta tum kuch bhi apni will ke against karo. I....." He paused and said "mein rakhta hoon" but before he could hung up "intezaar karungi mein" Arohi replied to him in hurry.

Arjun's face brightened with joy, he excitedly replied "I'll pick you up at 6" "hmm" came from her mouth only. Arjun asked hesitantly "aur kuch?" Arohi didn't know where to start "nehi, tumhe?" Even though, Arjun had a lot to say, he didn't know how to express his feelings. He asked "baby kaisa hai?" There was a pause, "baby theek hai, apne papa ko mis......" but she left the sentence incomplete. "I miss...achha mujhe jana hai. kaal milenge, take care" saying he cut the call. He sighed where Arohi closed her eyes with pain because they knew the distance was killing both of them equally.

Arjuhi's thought after phone conversation-----

Arohi angrily "party mein jane ke liye pooch sakta hai paar ye nehi bol sakta tha ke ghar wapas ajao, mujhe tumahri saath rehna hai"

Arjun's tone was reciprocating love "saath hi toh chahiye tumhara wo bhi zindagi bhar"

Arohi irritated "baby kaisa hai ye bhi poocha but baby ki mom ko poochna jaruri nehi samjha?"

Arjun felt content "agar baby theek hai toh uska mom bhi theek hogi"

Arohi with hopeful eyes "aab tumhara aane ka intezaar hai"

Arjun impatiently "tumse milne ka intezaar hai"

Arohi questioned herself "kya hoga kaal? Kya hai humari kismaat?"

Arjun with confidence "hum saath honge, hamesha hamesha ke liye!"

Next Day

Arohi was getting ready for the party. Suddenly she stopped and stared herself in the mirror. She remembered Arjun's words from the other day. She didn't have any complexity regarding her pregnancy, but blushed thinking the depth behind those words. She touched her stomach; her eyes glistened as she imagined herself to be the proud mother. Her thoughts revoved around their cute family, the one they are going to have in few months.

Arjun reached Ahluwalia house, he greeted his in-laws. They all were waiting for Arohi to come down. Arjun sat opposite to the stairs; he thought "why didn't I listen to Papa n Mom? I should have gone upstairs straight" Arjun eagerly looked for her again and his eyes caught the view he wished to see.

As usual she was looking stunning. She was wearing a blue dress that reached upto her knee. Her hairs were straightened and fallen on one side exposing her bare shoulder. She didn't wear any jelwelry except the nose ring. Though, she wore two things that symbolized their relationship. Her neck was adorned with Mangalsutra while her ring finger held their wedding ring. She was perfect, there was nothing to judge. He just loved her approach; taking off his eyes from her wasn't easy. He just wanted to hold her close now, but he needed to wait for the right moment.

Arjun wore dark gray blazer and pants. He had a black shirt underneath and hairs were perfectly brushed. His dashing look and well fitted body can't be ignored even if someone wanted to. Arohi's eyes drifttted to his hand. He was wearing the watch that she gifted him on his birthday. Arohi noticed he also wore their wedding ring as she did. It was hard for her to not stare him; she had the same yearn to hug him. Still, she diverted her attention to her parents.

Amrit hugged Arohi and blessed Arjun. Sudhir hugged both of them and said "have a safe journey and all the best" Amirt went to Arohi and kissed her forehead "asha karta hoon tujhe jaldi hi apni sasural dekhoon" Arohi blinked her eyes and hugged her Mom again. Saying bye, Arjun started walking and Arohi followed him.

They walked to the car silently; Arjun opened the door for Arohi. She sat inside quietly; Arjun went around and also sat inside. They drove away from Ahluwalia house.

Arjun shifted his rear view mirror, so he can steal glances from Arohi.

Arjun broke the silence "it's so strange right, hum aise chup bethe hai jaise koi ajnaabi ho ya pehli baar mile hai, you know 1st date" Arohi remined quiet, so Arjun continued "tumhe yaad hai usually mein chup rehta tha aur tum bolti thi?" Still, he heard nothing from Arohi. This time Arjun spoke to the point "dekho Arohi mujhe ghuma phira ke baate karna toh ata nehi, but its high time we clear our misunderstandings. Tumne jo bhi dekha match pe ya uske baad job hi hua, things weren't like that"

Arohi was irritated "great!! Now he is after things that barely mattered anymore. He is spoiling my mood by talking about that chudail and dumb Sanjay. Can't he talk something romantic, things that are about us only? Doesn't he have anything to say?? Meri tarif bhi nehi kia aab tak!"

Arjun stopped the car in front of their college. He looked into her eyes "ok all I have to say is I love you, kia hua nehi hua let's not explain cauz you know better than me you are the only one in my heart. I am not justifying myself, but every time you have seen me in the wrong situation. Mein tumse...." Before Arjun could finish talking to Arohi, the cell rang. Arohi didn't move her eyes from him. Without checking he cut the call and motioned to put it back when the phone slipped from his hand. It made contact with the on button of the tape, bringing out his confession before the party ended.

"Arohi I want to tell you something, kehna toh bohot kuch hai paar kaha shuru karu pata nehi. Meine tumhe miss kia nehi kahunga kyunki mere zindagi ki wo paal kho chuke the. Arohi's eyes were shining with love and happiness. Her happy tears found its way through her eyes. Arjun's eyes were also moist; they kept looking at each other. The moment was just perfect, but again the cell rang. Exactly then Shefali and Romit also came to take them inside. They started talking with Arohi; Arjun also joined them after few minutes. "I am sorry, mujhe office mein jana hoga thodi der ke liye" he said with disappointment. "Hell no the party is for both of you, so No" said Shefali angrily. Romit spoke "dude that's not fair" "paar Dad bhi nehi yaha, mein kaunsa jana chahta hoon? I have no option" he tried to explain. Shefali ordered "no means no" Arohi interrupted "jane do usse, jaruri kaam hoga!" They all looked at her, he noticed her upset eyes. Shefali and Romit glared Arjun. Arohi stared them back "kya?"

She looked into Arjun's eyes "Dad gave you responsibility na, I want him to proud on you always not dissaponited" Arjun knew his Arohi was saying it from the heart, he went close to her. "I am sorry" saying he kissed her forehead. He looked at her "promise jaldi ajaunga, apna kheyal rakhna"

He looked at his frineds who were still glaring at him "what??" He warned "you both better take care of my wife and child" Romit and Shefali let out "waho, itna pyaar!" His friends were weird na, at one moment angry and the next moment teasing him. That's why he loved these crazy buddies dearly.

Arohi felt embrassed on the remark and Arjun smiled on their expressions. He gave a fying kiss to Arohi, she pouted like a baby. Soon the second one followed, he gestured towards her stomach. Arohi blushed seeing his action and touched her stomach. After settling in the car, Arjun left for office. Shefali and Romit took Arohi inside.
