Hello all. M back. College has started for second semester so we will shift back to the previous settlement of updates every weekend. Please bear with me. It's getting a bit hectic with seminars coming my way in college.

Chapter 37

Next Day

Sonam came for breakfast to find Harshad, Sriti, Anjali & Maria waiting for her.

Sonam: M sorry m late again.

Harshad (teasingly): What's new in that sleepyhead??

Sonam (annoyed): Shut up Harshad!!

After breakfast, Harshad & Sriti left to take care of some arrangements before the concert. They had strictly instructed Sonam to stay away from trouble & not to go out alone. They had asked Anjali to stay with her all the time, to which she happily agreed.

Sonam & Anjali were sitting in Sonam's room. Sonam was playing her guitar & was lost in her thoughts when Anjali's tug brought her out of her reverie.

Anjali: Kya hua?? Is something wrong?? U look lost.

Sonam: Nothing!! (changing the topic) U were saying something??

Anjali could sense that she's trying to avoid the topic but then she didn't force her much.

Anjali: Ok tell me something about Arjun.

Sonam: About Bhai?? What about him??

Anjali: U know what m saying.

Sonam (raising her eyebrows): U actually thought that m going to help u in getting close to him?? Oh puh-le-ease. M not doing anything. I'll just sit back & watch what u do. U hurt him once, n u will see the worst of me.

Anjali: Hey Bhagwan!! U r just like my Chhote. Over-protrctive siblings!! U r even more than a sibling for him. He treats u like his daughter.

Sonam (teasing): R u jealous??

Anjali: Why would I b jealous??

Sonam: If u r, then don't b. I'll ask him to treat u too like he treats me. Like his DAUGHTER. (smirks)

Anjali threw a cushion towards Sonam which she caught and threw back, laughing all the time.

Anjali (catching her breath): U won't help??

Sonam: Nopes!! I want u to win him urself. He will b easily convinced iff I plan to convince him. But I don't want to burden him with something he doesn't want. If he wants to b with u, I'll support his decision. If not, then I'll make u go away. N u know m capable of doing that.

Anjali: U won't need to. If he doesn't want me, I'll stay away myself. I promise.

Delhi

AR Designs

Rohan had accompanied Khushi to AR as he had to give his measurements. After giving his measurements, he came to Khushi's cabin to find Arnav sitting there along with Khushi, both of them engrossed in their work.

Rohan knocked at the door and entered.

Khushi (looking up from the design): Bhai!! (smiling) U don't need to knock.

Rohan: I thought I could spend some time with my sis as I don't get much chance to b with u these days. With the upcoming wedding n then ur n my separate work.

Arnav: Sure Rohan. (turning to Khushi) I need to get a file from my cabin. Aman too needs some help. I'll b back in a while. I need to call Aman.

Khushi (smiling): Sure. Go ahead.

Arnav left the cabin. It was not that he had work. It was just that he could understand that Rohan wants to talk to Khushi about something. So he left them alone so that they could talk.

Rohan & Khushi discussed about the wedding arrangements, Sonam's concert in Mumbai, and all the stuff they could think of. Rohan couldn't bring himself to ask her what he actually wanted to ask. Khushi sensed that discomfort.

Khushi: Kya puchna chahte hain Bhai??

Rohan: Wo... Tum or ASR. Wo yahan kya kar raha tha??

Khushi (sighs): Ek project pe hum saath kaam kar rahe hain.

Rohan: Saath kaam karne k liye cabin share karna toh zaruri nahi hai na??

Khushi: Bhai aap ye sab kyu puch rahe hain??

Arnav had just returned to the cabin when he heard Khushi question the reason why Rohan was asking all this. He planned to go back but Rohan's next question made him freeze on the spot.

Rohan: Pari tumne kya socha hai aage ka??

Khushi: Kis baare mein??

Rohan: Tum dono k rishtey k baare mein. Dekho Pari. Hum dono chahte hain k tumhari shaadi aam shaadiyon jaisi nahi thi. Or ab jab sab normal ho gaya hai toh tumhe aage ka b sochna chahiye.

Khushi: Aap kehna kya chahte hain Bhai??

Rohan: What have u thought about divorce Khushi??

Arnav was shocked to hear that. Here he was trying to win her back and her family is planning their divorce!! If he thought that he was hurt on listening to Rohan, then Khushi's next words brutally stamped his heart.

Khushi (sighing): Pata nahi Bhai. Jo kuch hua, uske liye mai Arnav ko maaf kar chuki hu, lekin wo sab bhulna, it's impossible. Bhai mera sabse hassen khwab tha ek happily married life. Ek family jo mujhse bohat pyaar karti ho, ek husband jiske liye mujhse zyada important kbi kuch or na ho. Ek aashiyana, chahe chhota ho, lekin ghar ho. Chhote chhote bachche jinki ghar mein gunjti hansi se baar baar mujhe ye ehsaas hota ho k ek ladki k sapne jab sach hote hain toh kaisa lagta hai. Arnav ne jb mujhse shaadi kit oh unhone ussi pal mein mere saare sapne, saari fantasies, sab kuch khatam kar dia. (laughing mockingly) Kbi kbi yakeen nahi hota k unke kareeb aane pe kbi mujhe wo sapne poore hote dikhayi diye the. Lekin unhone bohat ache se smajha dia k sapne or sach mein bohat fark hota hai. Kbi unse dur rehne k khayal se b darr lagta tha, or aaj unke kareeb rehne k khayal se darr lagne laga hai.

Arnav could not listen any more. He walked away from there. He couldn't believe that Khushi was saying all that. He realized that in all his planning, he had just kept in mind what he wants. But what if that is not what Khushi wants now?? What if Khushi wants to go away from him?? What if she wants to have a life where he doesn't exist?? What if she actually wants divorce but is not able to tell him in words?? What if she's again sacrificing her own happiness for others' sake n his sake?? NO!! He won't let her b the sacrificing one any more. He will give her whatever she wants, even if it killed him to b away from her.

Khushi's Cabin

Khushi was thinking about the conversation she had with Rohan.

Flashback

Rohan: What have u thought about divorce Khushi??

Khushi: What I want?? Will I have any say in this??

Rohan: If u want to give ur relationship a chance, then I'll never ask this question again. N if u want divorce, then I'll make sure u get it ASAP.

Khushi: N what if I don't want both??

Rohan was confused. What does she mean by that??

Khushi: What if I don't want divorce but at the same time, I can't bring myself to give him another chance??

Rohan (taking her hand and guiding her to sit next to him): Why r u scared Pari?? We all r there with u.

Khushi (with tears falling down her cheeks): Bhai I love him. Even if I say that I want to free myself from this marriage, I will never succeed in freeing my heart which feels nothing other than love for the man who has broken it into pieces. I can never hate him. I still dream of a happily ever after with him. But what if he breaks my heart again?? I can't bring myself to give him another chance of hurting me. I survived through the pain this time Bhai, but if it happens again, I'll die.

Rohan hugged her. He knew that more than anything, his Pari needs a shoulder to lean on & cry. He could understand that it was difficult for her to confess her true feelings about Arnav but he had to know what she wants. N now as he knows, he'll make sure that Pari gets the happiness she deserves.

Khushi (still hugging Rohan): What should I do Bhai?? Please help me to understand what I want.

Rohan (caressing her hair): Let urself free. Just think about what u want. Don't think about anything that has happened in the past, don't think of what will happen in future. Live in the moment. Let ur heart guide u. U will know the answer with time. It will come to u itself. Don't bother about deciding right now. Give urself some time. N most importantly, irritate ur Laad Governor to hell. How dare he make u cry??

Khushi giggled when Rohan called Arnav as Laad Governor. Her very own Laad Governor!!

Flashback ends

Rohan left AR after some time. He had to talk to Sonam. As if on cue, his phone rang.

Rohan: Hello.

Sonam: Hii Bhai. Whassup??

Rohan: Just talked to Pari about it.

He briefed Sonam about all that was discussed between him & Khushi.

Rohan: I still don't understand Princess. U knew that Pari will never even think of the divorce, still u wanted me to ask her??

Sonam: Relax Bhai. I just wanted Dii to think about what she wants. N m glad that we got to know what is in her heart.

Rohan: What r u upto now??

Sonam: It's time to give a push to ASR.

Rohan could hear the smirk in her tone.

Rohan: I hope Pari won't b hurt.

Sonam: No pains, no gains Bhai. Let's see what ASR wants.

Rohan: Do u want to bring them together??

Sonam: They love each other a lot. Dii is scared that if she will give a chance, ASR will hurt her again. ASR thinks that he's incapable of love & so he should stay away from Dii as he will again end up hurting her. Both don't understand that they themselves r the cause of each other's every pain, as well as pleasure.

Rohan: U r right. I hope these two idiots will get their senses back soon.

Sonam: Hahaha. I hope so.

I know what u r trying to say. It's not going to b easy for Anjali to pass through the walls Arjun has built around his heart. I have given a neutral approach from Sonam's viewpoint as she doesn't need to interfere in this decision. Its about Arjun & Anjali. The only ones who have the right to decide what they want is just the two of them. Others won't b interfering in other's matters. Sonam is guiding Arnav to get Khushi but she's not coercing Khushi into accepting Arnav. It's Arnav who has to convince Khushi that she can trust him. In the same way, Sonam won't say anything in Arjun's matter as well. Only Arjun will decide what he wants and Sonam will support her Bhai in whatever his decision is. If we talk about deserving, then even Arnav does not deserve Khushi, but we still want ARshi together. So same goes for Anjali too. If we say that she is the reason for all the mess, we can't forget that she's a victim too. She deserves a second chance as much as Arnav does.
