Because this show had to reach a new low in recent days.
Otherwise, how can you explain Sameer's selection to a national level singing competition. I was shocked when a kid who sang ordinarily a ordinary song of a nasal singer was selected among the 6 late entrants for the top 22. Then I waited every week hoping that he would be out, that some sense would prevail on the 3 judges(or jokers?). But that was not to be.
I have nothing against this kid. I'm purely talking in terms of the theme of the show, i.e. singing. It needed a Jagjith singh atlast to tell the truth that Sameer lacks "Saans, isliye awaaj kamjor lagtha hai our awaaj me sur nahi lagtha". If not for Jagjithji, I'm sure that day all the three jokers would have given A+.
Now I'll describe Sameer's singing: He absolutely lacks breath (same as Twinkle, lacks strength, melody not even in the vicinity). He strugles so much , one can even see his nerves on the neck. There is a misconception among the people, that whenever a person strugles too much for singing, he is "dil se gaa raha hai" .
Then come to his tantrams. I think initially from his facial expression I could observe that even he was surprised at the continuing selection of his. Later on he tried to overact to look more cute, staged various little dramas at various stages including the one in which Shaan wept.
All in all more than the shock it gives me pain to see this state of affair of our music, our people's sense of judgement, how a mass brain wash can be done. I appreciated Abhijith as a great passionate singer(he still is),but can not beleive he too is part of this biggest tragical joke in the history of this show, oh, it is such a painfull experience every week to change the channel whenever this cute kid Sameer jumps cutely on to the stage.
God please give a sense of judgement to our people.
