Episode 162 Discussion: 5th Jan 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Episode 162 Discussion - EOD Summary

RK's Sasural Family Portrait gets completed so that Balraj knows that he has to tear it apart.

Events of the episode:

Roma is back from our long outdoor shooting of months. She is the saving grace for today's drama.
Shamsher was leaving for Bhopal and is tracked by his Damaad RK and brought back home
Padmini tells Shamsher that she is ready to get married to him.
Bittuji brings Balraj back to the chawl to convince Trishna to act in his film, because though Trishna said yes to him, she again refused to sign the contract when the agent called her.
Family reunion in happiness with Shamsher+Padmini+Roma+Trishna+Madhu+RK, being watched by Balraj in seething anger by end of the episode.

Its like watching a south Indian movie...starting from B&W era to 80's era that I had watched. Everything gets resolved in high voltage drama and all characters one by one gather at the same place to get into the same frame to give an happy ending.

That happened in the Malik's chawl today and over Mumbai Nagri roads. God! the rona-dhona (crying) and drama. It is my personal problem that I cannot watch this kind of drama that I had to see today. So I will not say, I am being impartial. I couldn't be when I was watching the 15 minutes of the show with covered eyes, mean looking through my finger gaps, so embarassing it was to watch the drama. Padmini and Madhu were worse cases today...undoubtedly. I pity PP and DD. Hope they laughed a lot when shooting those scenes, atleast they must have relieved themselves of the embarassment they were causing to themselves and viewers.

Waise the family portrait just happened for Balraj to see ...per the precap scene. A portrait of Shamsher+Padmini+Roma+Trishna+Madhu+RK

I could only bear two people today; Roma and Balraj, though Bittuji also made the appearance.

Roma made a comeback and Balraj remembered that he had been to the chawl before to kill Pads and Mads.

Except for Bhatias (Radha and gang), all the original cast of MEIEJ was there today.

Chalo, I guess now, RK will make way for Balraj to start his drama in coming days.

C rated drama, but needed wrap up drama before ACT III starts for MEIEJ. ACT 1 - 20 yrs back drama. ACT II - Rishbala and building relationships around them. ACT III - The Past left behind 20 years revisits everyone.

RK and ROMA

Waise by the end of ACT II, it is very clear that RK is enjoying the love and affection of Malik and Choudhry family...now totally becoming Malik family. He is enjoying even Roma's company. If we take away the Superstar status from Rishabh Kundra and just see Rishabh standing with these people, it is very acceptable to see that Rishabh is actually getting what he wants. Love of people around him.

And Roma was the best example there. Eccentric character she is...but how bubbly and vivacious she is. A woman filled with love of life. What if she is not brilliant. She is just loveable. She had been responsible for helping out Padmini initially. She is such a good friend and sister and an aunt to the girls. And in today's episode, RK very naturally bonds with her just like her...both equally dramatic figures.

Enjoyed the ep today.😳

All the scenes featuring RK and Madhu - together and otherwise - were absolutely lovely.⭐️

The other scenes were unexceptionable.😊 Even Trishna and Roma didn't manage to be irritating today.😛

The story developments felt smooth, without too much of a hitch at any point.😊

Both DVD were looking damn good.😳 Absolutely no points to quibble about for either today.

The dialogues were good, especially RK's.👏⭐️

The performances of the two leads were excellent⭐️, everyone else good enough.😊

And not even one of the four Bhatias🤢 to glitch the mood? Yippee!😃

Badhai ho aap sab ko!! Subah ka bhula sham ko ghar wapis aa gaya aur who else to bring him home but RK!! Where did he find him? Lekin aise sawal nahin puchneka. Chupchap serial dekhne ka.

By the way aap ko aisa nahi lagta ki aaj kal superstar ghar mein jyada aur studio mein kam dikhai de raha hai. bohot free time hai use paas uski sasural walon ki problems solve karne ko.

Filler episode IMHO needed to move along the story and make way for Ballu's entry.

Madhu is eager to complete the remaining 3 pheras of her own adhuri shadi with RK. Why she did not suggest to RK ki Padmini-Malik shadi mein, apne bhi 3 phere complete kar le. Wonder what RK's reaction would have been to that suzav. Pandit hai, barati hai, sab taiyarriyan hai, kyon na hum bhi apni yeh adhuri rasm puri kar le?

Sounds about right, yeah?

Good episode. Must hand it to the CVs, 👏they must be quite a talented kind of team to put together episodes like this, and maintain a daily dose of Rishbala, despite the main lead not being around and in a few scenes today, even DD was not around.
Early days yet, but now that Balraj has made his entry technically as the main villain today (will explain below)...we are going to get some interesting episodes.

Paddy calls Madhu and informs her that Malik has left for good. Fortunately for us, (I was expecting a flood of tears), Madhu tells her to keep calm and get back to the chawl. She updates RK and leaves. At the chawl, Paddy is trying to get her neighbours to contact Malik, Madhu arrives, they go to the studio to check if Malik attended his shoot. No luck.
Roma is back from her outdoor shoot, she meets Trishna. paddy and Madhu run in and Paddy collapses in despair. While they're trying to console each other, RK walks in with Malik. Paddy has a tearful renuion, and she tells him she is keen to move into a new phase of life with him. Excitement abounds, and everyone's happy. Roma and Trishna run out to tell everybody, Malik and Paddy follow suit.
I was kind of disappointed that Sasuma did not give any bhaav to her damad who worked so hard for this marriage to take place. She even slapped him, there should have been some acknowledgement of his efforts, Roma did it, but ideally, Padmini should have said something...just my viewpoint.
Continuing with the episode, Madhu thanks RK, and he tells her to have faith in him. She is very happy and tells him soon it will be time for them to complete their marriage. RK jokes around and says what is the need...she replies that he has promised himself to stay away from her till they complete the rituals.. they have a private romantic moment.

Bittuji brings Balraj to the chawl. Balraj is irritated that Trishna backed off once again from doing the film, but since RK insists, he has to keep her on. Balraj walks towards the chawl, and stops outside. He gets a vivid flashback of all that happened in the past with padmini, Malik, Roma. And he realises this isthe same place, he had been to 20 years ago where so much had taken place. As comprehension dawns, he sees Roma come down followed by Malik, Trishna, Padmini, RK, Madhu... he understands that madhu is his daughter.

Pre-cap- the whole family stands for a photo, and Balraj fumes in anger
Balraj has technically made his entry today as the main villain because he has realised his whole family is alive and well, from now we will get to see him at his worst...which is actually the real person he is and always has been.

Can anybody help me...need a clarification. What does RK say ...when Madhu pushes him away and walks off...kaha tho pyaar...something...?

Don't remember the exact words, but he says that once he had no love, and now when the Lord has given, has given thappad maarke.😊

It was Madhu slapping him that provoked him to marry her, and that set them on the path to where they are now.😳
