Time to raise voice aganist

Since Delhi crisis, I have started noticing that most of our Indian TV serials' female protagonists are epitome of sacrifices etc.

I do not want to bash any particular serial but one of the story revolves around how 2 male leads are holding up their egos and trying to control female lead. The female leads keeps going back and forth between them as and when one rejects her.

On other hand one serial started with intention of showing that a poor girl with no resources how she struggles to study and progress in life. The story was moving well and suddenly this one has been taken off the air to replace it with some saas-bahu saaga.

Isn't it high time that writers start paying attention to this and DO NOT PROJECT WOMAN AS WEAKER GENDER WHO CAN BE TOSSED AND TREATED AS OTHERS WANT??????????????

Isn't it time to bring in more stories to show equal respect and status between men and women? or some stories around social stigmas and issues.
