he's punjabi....but i think shashank was bengali like gauri....so they had arranged for a bengali wedding...

but since shiv had to replace shashank last moment...they cudnt arrange for punjabi style..and just went along with the bengali style...

he even said it while talking to his brother (cousin) that this topi style has got to be gauri's tradition...
