The hand that rocks the cradle can change the world and the future. And that is what we need. A whole new attitude towards females. One practised and embraced by females and males all over the world.

It should be something we should be doing without even thinking. Cos our minds should not know anything else.

been following the story for many days now. a heartbreaking and frustrating situation where the perpetrators show any fear or remorse for their actions, the attitude of some police and politicians borders on contempt. Problem is that the hand that rocks the cradle has got to want to change. How many times I have seen friends have dreams and ideals only to sacrifice them at the altar of marriage and become clones of their mothers and mothers-in-law and fall in line with their ideals. I spent a large part of my life battling the views of my mother and aunties to no avail. For them the boy child is god and was treated as so. Until that changes and respect is taught we will fight an uphill battle wherever we are. As we have seen the comments of one Dr Anita whatever her name was has no compassion or consideration for a fellow human being.

Nail meet head! Unfortunately Xar based on my own experiences all I can say is women are not changing. I see the same injustices being carried out by generation after generation. And no matter how hard a few try to force the change the vast majority seem quite content and even encourage a status quo.

Is there no end in sight? 😕

Women really are their own worst enemy

Well when you have the example of that particular woman, I worry. Worry for every young girl who goes out to supplement the family income, to work to futher herself to make a better future for herself when there are men as well as women who pin the blame directly on the girls' decision. One twat on the Indiatimes website on the comments section even went as far as to say had the girl in question been wearing a burka this would never have happened to her. I soon added my comments to that😡.
However, one thing to note and having studied history in the past (ha ha) India in some of its thinking and treatment of women is where the UK was during womens' emancipation and the joining of the main workforce. They had to put up with a lot of harrassment and snide comments from both sides. This attitude changed with time and implementation of new rules. A ripple has started in India. I say let's see if this becomes a wave of change.
