Thank you warda for coming up with a topic im sure is very close to your heart.. which comes across in the pains you have taken to make this thread.
Dutta and nakusha's love story was never the run of the mill mushy mushy puppy love that you often get to see in shows, movies across. It was bereft of any overt display of physical intimacy yet it caught our imaginations at a more deeper level. You didnt need lengthy poetic declaration of love for each other. It was in deeds than words, DIVINE n Simple and had the touch of the old world charm.
Naku had fallen for him head over heels from day one. Their was no doubt as to her feelings. Im biased for dutta's ways of expressing love. It was hard to come by yet it came across in his actions, expressions more than words, usually laced with a tinge of irritation or anger or sometimes even guised as hatred.
His one word "KHA" in JMM1 was such an ordinary word yet it conveyed so much, His slanting of head staring at her meant so much, when she fed him in the kitchen, the remorse for slappin her and then hurtin his palm, his outrage over security breach in PN when he screams at baji, "agar usse kuch hojatha toh" mind you this was at a time when his hurt was raw and anger at its peak. The first word he screams when he regains consciousnes after the accident was sufficient proof of his undeclared love and yearning for her and so on, its endless.
Much later in the show he mellows down and confesses his feelings. The genuine concern, anguish, care, devotion, touched at the core of our hearts. The subtle eye contact, the warmth in their hand holding, their epic hug is proof LTL didnt need the much abused intimate scenes in other shows to get across the message.
