Sonu Nigam is definitely not overrated though he might be arrogant. He is one of the best singers we have in bw. He is perhaps the only singer who can make even a crappy song sound good.

Sonu is the BEST, no way overrated.
& far as I m concerned, arrogance is no way a criteria to be called overrated.

udit narayan is definatly a good voice but he is far behind SONU NIGAM when classical is concern ...as i said i love udit but truth is truth Sonu is technically better den udit naryan and kumar sanu as per artcile says "In singing difficult and dynamic songs his name had appeared before Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh, or others,singers"

Rather Sonu Nigam is underrated. He was shortchanged in awards many times. Crass and trash singers got awards whereas Sonu was ignored especially since 2000s. Sonu lacks the zing in his voice which Udit ji had but technically he's a superior singer.

He's been quite versatile and aced all kinds of songs from romantic to item-type songs.

His only drawback is that his voice is too sweet and doesn't suit macho/aged heroes. For eg. his voice won't suit Sanjay Dutt or Sunny Deol (even when they were younger).
