Really? Really?

Has anyone seen this film? There were so many remarks and snide comments made at Americans.
pity.

How about Indians first start speaking their own language, then will talk about making comments at others.

Really Texan?
I watched it and felt they actually portrayed Americans really well EXCEPT the coffee lady in that one scene.
They exaggerated that one coz no employee can ever talk rudely with a customer.

But overall, I loved the portrayal of the US.
Notice that her American nieces were way nicer and well behaved than her own Indian daughter.

Yes, desu. I really felt like they were trying really hard to make fun of Americans. Esp, that economic recovery comment by Big B.

and I did notice that her American nieces were much nicer.

i dunt think so...tht economy dialogue by big B was unnecessary i agree...
but apart from tht, most other depictions were quite nice...

gay stereotype aside, their teacher was portrayed with a lot of respect, so were her nieces, the dude who sridevi passes by in the train station everyday and helps her with the card access, the family her niece marries into etc etc...

they werent trying to label or stereotype americans as meanies..they showed plenty of good examples too...
i didnt find it offensive at all...
