^^ Are general public really fine with pistols and guns 😕
They can always get stolen and misused. Isnt it in a way asking public to fend for themselves as law enforcement is doubtful.
It promotes violence and gives an unfair advantage to those owning guns and could also provoke more use of such weapons.

Most are, and I am not in favor of removing options for all just because some of them misuse it. Because most things are potential weapons, how many things are we gonna ban?

Potential weapons is a different issue but guns are built for the sole purpose of injuring or killing.

And protection too. What are you supposed to do when someone tries to injure you with a weapon and you haven't got one to protect yourself?

If guns are banned then the ban applies to the other person too unless law enforcement is weak in which case it would be free for all kind of situation. Amount of damage that can be caused by other weapons is less than that possible with guns.

And we all know how great banning works. Drugs are banned and therefore you won't find them anywhere, right? Nobody in the world owns illegal and unregistered firearm, right?

Criminals will find weapons one way or another, at least by legal ownership, you can defend yourself.
