The pics I will be putting here are simply to not make you see only words on this post. And the pics are not Barun and Sanaya but Arnav and Kushi.
Everyone made a "Last Post on the Forum" during the week the show ended...and I didn't want to share in the trend but I can't believe I am making one here after a long time.
I began with analysis posts for the show. For IPKKND and For ArShi. They are what held me here. And I am always grateful for it.
Now, I know many of you will not like what you are going to read next but being a lover of this Forum from the days of its glory (September 2011) and still loving it even in its marred state, I am here with my torch of Love to tell you something you must think over.
For those who ardently loved IPKKND:
The end of the show, ached...
The clashes in the Forum, hurt...
The unknown mess in the off-screen, worried...
Ms. Irani has earned a lot of respect from me for who she is at heart and I understood her pain at losing IPKKND as a mirror reflection of what the Cast and Crew on the whole felt. The show ended because we fans could not see our Arnav dying and Kushi being held in another man's arms. Those Rabba ves won't be Rabba Ves and it would pain to watch it, though for the love of the show we would continue to.
But there is a way one's mind works and makes the world to suit one's needs.
I would have supported, whole-heartedly, the view that the show must come again! If not the show, at least the entire team in a new show.
But time for logic to ring its bell. (And man! I really wish it didn't have to, but it has to!)
Mr. Sobti needs a break for being with his dear family who he has been immaculately not spending time with for the past many months. He also wants to try his hand in the Movie Arena and well, may the darling go in peace and fare well in his endeavors. He will not come to the TV yet so we need to stop asking for him to return. Don't force him to take up something in which he no longer has his heart set. Let him go try his dreams...
The reason why the show became such a hit was because of the coming together of many perfect things. The right concept. The right directors. The right story. The right dialogues. The right Cast. The right Crew. The right imagination. The right channel. And the right audience.
But I tell you, it all stemmed from the beginning, "the right concept." And right concepts don't come under force. It comes either on the spur or through prolonged thinking.
If we demand for a Season 2 or New Show with the IPKKND Team now, we will be greatly disappointed because the story will be speedily patched up and won't be that great and the show will be made to suit our endless demands and not created out of self-nurtured creativity and passion (like the way IPKKND began) in its flourished and polished pace.
Hence, our "demands" will only "disappoint" us in the end. It will be like beginning the show and then crying, "no, end it, we can't watch it any longer." Typical reaction!
So what are you saying, Lin? We mustn't call SP anymore? We can't have a show with our IPKKND cast anymore?
I say, Dream. Dream and your dreams will come true. And when you dream, you will need to pray and act as well. When you "act" you need not "spam." You only need to "remind." Occasionally. Remind SP of your love for ArShi and how IPKKND rocked the world. Remind LM of how beautiful ArShi was and how IPKKND was almost life-like. Remind anyone in authority (with regard to the show) how the magic of IPKKND will never die and we dream of a new show. When you sound gentle, positive and encouraging, instead of emotional, hard and forceful...it changes the way they think of fans. They will learn that fans are not "obsessed" over the show, but in "love" with it. And that is the message you need to give: that we are not psychotic but just deeply-in-love with something that was worthy to be loved.
Ms. Irani will get offers and the other cast and crew, too, will sooner or later get offers. If the show had ended in January or February 2013, like it had been decided, then too, the cast and crew would have the same state. A job ended, a break ahead and a future unknown. This is the same they are having now, except that it was suddenly forced upon them and they were to shocked to take it like how they would have if it had come expectedly.
In the world of Showbiz, no one will be out of job for long. Needs arise here and there and some time or other, everyone will find a new door to walk through.
You still haven't said, Lin...what about a new show with the IPKKND. Impossible or possible?
Possible. If you believe something is possible, it is defiantly possible. But like I said, you can't force them to make a "concept." Most of them may be having a good break or getting new offers so why drag them from that to make a patched-up show. Remember what Lalit Mohan said. He will try to bring them all back again. He is not your Dad to bring you something the moment you ask for it. (Though all Dads are not like that!) Lalit Mohan is like Christmas Father (and I'm not saying this because its Christmas season.) He will not be there all through the year but he will come. Christmas Father promised he will come every year on Christmas Eve and so when its time, LM will keep his promise and come! When the right time comes and the right concept, he will see when he can begin on it. He might work on many other projects, but he will keep an eye out for the right time. A time when everyone who was part of IPKKND is free and waiting. A time when when the world does not expect and has long forgotten the madness of being addicted to IPKKND. A time when Barun leans back and tells his wife, "I've done some good movies but I miss the Cast of IPKKND a lot. If they call me, I will willingly take a break from living my dreams to go live in my memories..."
A voila! LM makes the call. Gul might be a big part in it coz though they mess up somewhere along the way, their concepts are amazing and their creations are worth watching! (Hope they learn from their past mistakes and make their production more perfect and flawless.) All the Cast and Crew are willing and waiting to get started! And then girls, and mothers and grandmothers, drop their knitting and books and sliced vegetables and gape at the screen: a new promo is out and the spirit of IPKKND is reborn!
It might not be a Season Two. It might be New Show. Whatever it is, it WILL come. When it is time. You don't need to force it. Everyone wants it to come. Not just the fans but even Gul and LM and the Cast and Crew and SP too. Even NK of the BBC and NK of the Show. And when you all WANT something and BELIEVE and remain POSITIVE that you will get it, you will GET IT.
This Forum need not turn into a Braun Fan Club or Sanaya Fan Club. This Forum is for IPKKND. So it is for ArShi as much as it will be SaRun who played the ArShi on screen. Love them for what they gave us. Don't judge because even the Great Judge sits in Heaven watching us, shaking His magnificent Head at the thought that we are fighting for nothing!
I respect bashers. They speak because they are hurt and disappointed that they think they gave their heart to something that did not deserve. But I do not encourage their actions. Because though they may have some right to what they say, they do not know they are creating a negative aura around them. A negative aura that affects all those who come to read their wisdom. It's like soldiers in a battlefield, these beloved bashers are struggling to make things right and save the land but in the end it reeks of blood, pain and anger. They won't get the whiff unless they come stand outside the battlefield and then look into it. It's a foul odour, really. This negative aura, I mean. No wonder we keep saying the Forum is a capsule version of the wide world outside.
I made this post because I love IPKKND. I love ArShi. I love the Team of IPKKND: the Cast and the Crew. But best of all, I love this Forum. I love the fans, the fanatics, the droolers, the defenders, the bashers and criticizers. I love the MODs too. *blush* And yes, I love the world too! It's the Season of Christmas and a New Year. Spread love. Spread Positive. Believe and IPKKND will come back to you. It may take years. A lot of years. But just make sure, you will be there to embrace it when it hits the screens again!
