Today's ep was worse than Friday's in that I would watch Friday's ep - even the depressing last few minutes - but only a few minutes of today's ep.
This ep felt not like series "Madhubala" but rather series "Radha".đ¤˘
Will Madhu never learn? Must she always go recklessly crusading on missions?
And her causes are never worth the effort she goes to.đ
First cause, Mukund.𤢠He would be completely recovered in a few days, and the settlement Bittuji was offering would be of immense use to him and his family. But Madhu inspired him not to take it, sent the superstar to jail, and was then shocked that she didn't get to have her happy life back.
Mukund's mother got the money from RK for a different, more proactive task. Madhu and her family were the only ones who paid for her forgetting that if you fight for truth and justice, you should make sure you have nothing to lose - because you will lose most or all of it. It's a basic law of life.
Second cause, an apology from RK to Padmini for embarrassing her. Madhu never thought her mother's dignity called for defending or speaking up when Mukund's mother humiliated Padmini openly for *lack of virtue*.đ But RK embarrassed Padmini about her *poor acting skills* and being a superstar's junior-artiste mother-in-law - and that too in a very respectfully disrespectful way - and Madhu challenged him that she would have him apologize to Padmini.
And she compounded her confounding standards by blackmailing him with photos that she received from an anonymous source.
And *then* she didn't think that if he was willing to debase himself and his immense pride and *apologize* to keep those photos private, then she should tread with caution, figure out that she was in way over her head, that there was something else going on about the photos, and set aside the embarrassment to her mother as a mild addition to what Mukund's mother had already spewed.
She was horrified when she finally found out just what moment those photos had. RK should have told her at the outset and prevented the entire debacle, but he didn't.
So we need not hope that Madhu will get a fullblown presentation of the leeches and their champion 'loving mother Radha who never did anything wrong and whose son doesn't appreciate her wonderful choice of second family for him'.đ¤˘
And that is the third cause - Radhađ¤˘. Madhu knows *nothing* of RK and Radha except restrained contemptuous comments from RK and several 'poor loving mother Radha' accounts from Radha herself.
But RK still cares about Radha - in his own words "a festering wound close to his heart".đ
RK won't badmouth his mother. Even his criticisms are restrained.
And Radha criticizes him extremely to his face and behind his back all the time - and that too very 'loving mother' style.đĄ
And she doesn't think anything that has happened was ever her fault.đ¤˘
Madhu must make Rishabh less bitter, and then he must automatically accept his mother again. The mother needs to do absolutely nothing.đĄ
Even for the jagraataa, she was introducing Kukku as RK's father.đ¤˘
If RK accepts her as mother, she will think it's authority to force him to treat Kukku and Sikki as his respected father and elder brother as well.đĄ
Madhu is - in her pure innocence and inability to understand Radha' depths of selfishness - setting RK up to have the wound named Radha opened up for salting.đ
He hasn't sent Radha and her wonderful Bhatia family away despite her husband and stepson both being quite capable of earning a livelihood.
And now, he is to forgive the woman who thinks she never did anything to atone for, and her son forgiving her should be a natural byproduct of her son setting aside his 'unreasonable' bitterness and animosity towards Radha herself, 'loving stepfather' Kukku and accepting what 'a concerned caring family' foursome he has thanks to his mother.đĄđ¤˘
Watching him drink that tea prepared by his mother was a terrifying moment, like opening up a festering sore that you have no way to cure.𤢠It will hurt worse, it will not get better, and status quo will take a very long time to get back to.đ
Madhu, please stop going on missions without doing detectivework.
Playing detective is a most respected aspect of Hindi serial leading ladies. I don't want you turning into a typical serial-heroine in any other aspect, but this one quality you can surely imbibe with benefit. Please?
The girl cannot bear to even see RK *remembering* getting hurt, and she is manipulating to try to get him closer to the one who can hurt him deepest from the closest point?đ
Madhu may even succeed in this mission. She certainly succeeded in the first two, and the denouements after each success were catastrophes each in their own right.đ¤˘
I could bear this ep in all of two scenes - until Radha came with that blooperdom photograph (never saw a photographer at the 'jagraataa'đ), and then from after Radha left to until Madhu started to persuade RK for 'Maa'.
The Rishbala scene was fabulous until the Radha-aalaap started.
So, is this to be like the Dipali situation where worry for a disappeared RK got Madhu to grab Dipali by the arm and unapologetically threaten her?đ
And if so, how badly will RK be hurt by Radha this time before Madhu stops confusing Radha with Padmini?
Padmini bagair kahe bhi nibhaati haiđł, aur Radha kehti hai par nibhaati nahiđĄ. It is an immense petrifying difference between the two mothers.
And RK's is the mother who happily came and told Madhu that the father (Kukku) and two sons (Sikki and Rishabh) were sitting and talking at ease with each other when actually it was a veiled-taunts match going on.đ
How much better will the other three Bhatias be able to wound RK when Radha is no longer held at a distance by RK to limit her ability to hurt him worse?đ¤˘
Damnit, Madhu, please hurry up and get shrewd.đ The contrast between your absolute selflessness and the paragon of shameless selfishness that is Radha is unbearable.đ¤˘
