For all those of you who have been waiting for a first look at the video of 'Dabangg 2' item sequence 'Fevicol se' performed by Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, we've taken a peek' and we have come back with mixed responses.
The backdrop of the song is similar to the original Dabangg's 'Munni Badnaam Hui' ' a village set up with hundreds of additional dancers.
But that's where the similarity stops.
Newly married Kareena Kapoor looks super toned and sexy and she pulls off signature moves like pelvic thrusts with great aplomb. She looks great in her black choli-blue lehenga combination made by Manish Malhotra and carries off a nose pin and gajra on her wrist with equal panache.
Interestingly, the glares that have become synonymous to Salman Khan's style in the film now adorn the lovely eyes of Kareena Kapoor, who will be seen sporting Chulbul Pandey's aviators for one of the scenes in the item number.
However, if this is the 'Dabangg' team's answer to their prequel's 'Munni Badnaam Hui', it is not even a close comparison. Neither do the song's beats get you pepped up, nor are the lyrics as naughty as 'Munni'. Even Malaika's performance had a lot more energy.
Salman Khan's entry brings up the mood drastically. He brings in energy into the song with his trademark expressions and dance moves, but again when compared to his dramatic entry in 'Munni' we find 'Fevicol se' relatively sober.
On its own merit, 'Fevicol se' seems to be interesting and Kareena is really sexy on her own. But in comparison with the oomph that Malaika Arora Khan brought to 'Munni' we are disappointed.
