Zara makes a touching acceptance speech about how she would unflinchingly serve the country till her last breath and how she would not like to be known as Malik Khan's wife. Obviously.
15 lakhs as reward to a police officer!! Isn't that unheard of? I'm sorry...I am not aware of what really happens, but as far as my knowledge goes, cash rewards to the tune of lakhs are given only to sports people (cricketers, esp) and film stars (lifetime achievement and so on). So, I am inclined to think that the writers running away with this and thinking of how much cash Zara would need to retire from the force and settle into married life with Rishi.
Choti Hitler is unhappy that khadoos aunty has been felicitated and that her entire family has gathered around the TV to get a glimpse of her. She resolves to set this right and leaves. Just as she leaves and the camera lovingly lingers on Zara walking down from the dais, there is an explosion and the news reader is prepared immediately after with details on how much damage the explosion has caused. Everyone is duly shocked.
Kutumb is in tears and wants her daughter (she means Zara until the one from the asylum enters SN chasing a hen on Monday) back! Had me wondering "yeh kab hua??" Forget bonding, I had never even seen them speaking on such close terms. Rishi swings into action and shows dynamism that wasn't on display when his precious Indu had gone missing from Atari. At that time, he had merely packed his bags and was preparing to leave. But now, he reaches Mumbai in the next scene. He first meets Vanraj who has lost his mental balance, and is in such emotional turmoil that he imagines the worst in the morgue. Then, Zara, who is looking remarkably well and spotless--considering that the bomb blasted in her face--makes an appearance and he proposes marriage to her almost immediately.
In the meantime, Indu is making a nuisance of herself in the Women's Shelter at Chanakyapuri. She takes the lawyer, who is happy to be at her beck and call and charge her no money, to the Shelter and bring her mother home. There, she does not allow the person-in-charge to compare the fingerprints or to even say anything. The nun in charge looks understanding and affectionate because she was being paid to do so.
There, Indu sees some kids harassing her mother and so, teaches her to use the gulel as well. But surely, the Shelter has some security and the concept of restricted entry. How can random kids enter the premises, interact with the inmates, and even play there? Isn't that unsafe? But we'll let it go. We needed a scene in which our choti hitler gets to demonstrate hitlergiri.
Also. yesterday's epi showed us how cosmic connections make mother and daughter do the same thing. Today's epi showed us how cosmic connections make father and daughter also do the same thing, but with a difference. Indu hugged Indira thinking that she is Indira Sharma. And Rishi hugged Zara thinking that she either is or resembles Indira Sharma. Anyway, highpoint of the epi was the lady from the asylum enters Sharma Nivas in pursuit of a hen. That was the end of a really trying week. Let's see what the next week has to offer.
Till then, you folks have a really nice weekend. Thanks for reading ๐
