If I didn't kill him, he'd kill you

There are always very few people in your life you would claim to die for, even fewer you would actually die for. But who would take life to save life? Even the thought of it would send a shiver down your spine yet Di has now taken two lives to save her Manu. First her unborn and now a living person. The first thing Jeevika said to Manvi after killing Karan S was 'agar maine usse nahin maara hota toh woh tujhe maar deta (Translation: If I didn't kill him, he would have killed you). Just like if she didn't abort her unborn, she wouldn't have been able to save Manvi. I do often wonder why our hero/heroines don't ever shoot for the arm or leg rather than going straight through the heart which will ensure death. But it was a situation where she had to save Manvi, her own life so she went for it and took Karan's life (whether it turns out that Jaiswal did the deed or not is another matter, for now all I saw was Jeevika pulling that trigger). Manvi on the other hand didn't think twice before picking up the gun, it didn't take any thought at all before she took the blame on herself within seconds.

Technically, I'd say it was shot very much like a typical Star Plus show with the angles and direction but from the acting perspective and also the sheer depth of the sisters love it was quite brilliant. Their body language said it all.

Their expressions were just bang on throughout.

'Ek bigaarti hai toh dusri savaarti hai'. Today one had to destroy to save, the other was willing to destroy to save the other. They will do anything and everything for each other.

That too! Often we've seen how the two put their personal lives at risk for each other. Someone rightly said, Jeevika and Maanvi live for each other not themselves.

I think its not wrong to say that Jeevika's aggressive side only comes out for Manu. She has this innate fiercely protective side and I really saw the fire in her eyes today when she was trying to protect Manu at every point. Did you see how often her hand was blocking Manvi? And of course Manvi isn't going to leave anyone who lays a finger on her Di so first she warned KS and then slapped him.

It was the constant protective body language between the two which came out really obviously today. The type which we relate to the Behnas 😃
