You are taking an extreme view.

Crediting the success of the show to Armaan Jodi only when the fact of the matter is that PR was successful because it had very good and detailed characterization of all actors and with a stories of ALL characters weaved in with ARMAAN story. Also the background music was specially created for PR and is still being used for other PR shows.

Also define worst track??? I think the Shravani track was very successful and was shown for a long period of time.

If one wants to take the argument to the extreme about TRP's one can say that the success of PR was only due to Sushant, because once he left the show went downhill. In this extreme argument, Ankita's contribution to the raised TRP's will not even be acknowledged.

Credit has to be given to ARVI as well. If it were not for their popularity the show would have shut down ages ago.

Had Ekta's creative team given as much importance to the story, costumes, characterization as it did int he early days of PR, the show would still have continued with high TRP's.

BTW, I am also an ARMAAN fan and have been watching the show on and off since it started.

PR , in the past, has been such a good serial, with a fresh and fairly realistic storyline, a lovely talented lead pair with such good chemistry, a strong talented support cast who delivered consistently and a massive fan base.

The TRP decline of PR actually started around Aug 2011 (when KBC started) when it suddenly fell from a consistent 4+ to about 2 and was out of the Top 15 shows. The unconvincing leap followed by the contrived storyline of the secretary who went after manav and Savita-Sachu -saga really brought it down to 2. Then Sushant left in November followed by the 18-year leap and PR continued to struggle . After Feb 2012, PR has made it back to top 10 shows with a lower position (8 to 10) and a TRP 2.8- to 3+, which is nowhere near to what it was when the show was on Top 1-2 position for nearly 2 years.

The leaps and the unconvincing storylines, which only seem to be getting worse have taken PR to this position. People like me watch it only for Ankita as to me, she is such a delight to watch, even if it is only for one scene.

Im really glad that she has finally decided to leave. Her contribution to the show has been acknowledged repeatedly in the press and the awards she has got. As for the TRPs , well, time will tell.

For me PR ends when she is no longer part of the show.
