I recently watched the scenes where Amrita returns. I am stunned that Sugni watches in silence as Amrita's heart is broken at seeing Aditya getting married to her. Her mother and her are more worried that Amrita will reveal their secret. When Amrita confronts her she goes, "it's a pretense." Like that fixes anything! It still means you, Sugni, are going to be the one living with Aditya for the rest of your life. Sugni is the one who will wear the ring; she's the one who will eventually share the bedroom with Aditya.
As for Aditya, taking of Amrita's ring and putting it on Sugni's without a worry astounded me. And then, him slapping her? Disgusting.
And decent woman would stop the pretense and give back to her friend her partner. No good friend would force her friend's fiance to do this other than for their own selfish needs.
I can only say that whatever misery Sugni's character endures she deserves EVERY piece of it.
And it astounds me that when it comes to her own needs Sugni and her mother have no problem lying. Two-faced. The character of Sugni is a shame to womankind and the meaning of friendships.
