Have you ever had an epiphany that the life you are living, might not be yours? Or it maybe some horrible dream, that you will wake up from that day? Or maybe, loose yourself in the wrong, because you are just too far off, to go back to the right path. Its always the right decisions that take longest, to do a wrong, is to close off your soul to your values, morals, and upbringing. And that is never hard to do, but when walking on the right path, it takes a lot of courage to carry on with it, despite knowing you might be the only one treading it.

Khushi rang the bell, a little annoyed after the tenth ring. She had been standing outside this little dingy house for the past twenty minutes, and there was absolutely no sign of the nurse anywhere. She had asked Kajal to help her, in terms of finding her son. Like a good friend, Kajal had agreed immediately, though she had own remarks on this endeavor, but was supportive nonetheless. She had immediately went to work, trying to find her the nurse whom, Khushi had asked to take away her son.

Obviously, Khushi knew it would take some time, for her search to bear any results, but her patience was running out by the seconds. Her finger touched the bell again, but before she could ring it, the door flung open. Out came a elderly women, in her 50's, Khushi could still very much recognize her. Age had not bared on the women as much, she still looked like the same nurse, Khushi remembered exposing her vulnerabilities too. A weak, desperate, and most of all remorseful decision.

The lady smiled up at her, with those same, deep blue colored eyes, a unique vivid color that you could never forget, if you saw it once, '' Well, what do we have here?'' moving away, She motioned khushi to step inside, which she did. Her handbag clutched in her fingers, clad in skinny jeans paired with a loose fitting magenta halter top, topped off with a pair of small diamond earrings, '' I hope you don't mind the interference'' Khushi started kindly, taking a seat on the couch, her voice hesitant, but her hopes growing instantaneously.

''Of course, not dear. I have gotten old now, and my knees just don't want to agree with me, but i still like visitors now and then'' coming up, she walked towards the tiny kitchen in the house, that was in full view from the living area. Khushi spun her gaze around noticing; the wallpaper peelings, the roof need fixture, floorboard seemed so ancient that it was falling apart now, and there was some kind of humming sound coming from the carpet ahead. A terrible stench filled her senses, making her heady. All in all, the house a ramshackle, that made her wonder, how the women survived here.

She returned a while later, with a tray of tea and some snacks, and settled on the nearby seat, '' So what brings you by? '' She asked calmly, looking at khushi who was toying with the hem of her shirt, which clearly stated her nervousness. This seemed like her one chance to set her life right again. She didn't want to run into a corner, yet again.

''I am khushi''

''And i am, Ms Humera'' when she saw khushi look around, 'she completed, '' my husband passed away long ago''

'' I am sorry''

''I am too. So Khushi, what can i do for you?''

setting the cup down, Khushi composed herself to say, what she had com here to say, '' I need to ask you some questions, about my son''

''You mean the son you gave away?'' their was a hint of taunt in that sober voice, khushi chose to ignore it.

''Yes '' Khushi breathed softly, feeling her last hope slipping away through her fingers, '' But i want him back now''

'' Khushi dear, he must have a loving family now. It would do no good to go back to the past'' Mrs Singh tried as a way of explaining, but she could read the despair in khushi's eyes that was making her forget all except her son.

'' I know, but i just need a chance! I want to see him, touch him, hear him, just one chance'' she pleaded, but all seemed to go vain, when the women replied back, '' I do not know, where your son is dear!'' Khushi's head shot up, eyes narrowing as if trying to decipher if she was telling the truth, but she came up to nothing. Not even a flicker of emotion betrayed the women's words.

''But you must know something?'' Khushi asked, '' Please, i need your help. I can't go back empty handed. When i told you to give him away, what happened after that?''

Getting up, the lady walked around to the dresser, she pulled out a wrist band, '' I don't know what happened to him? All i know is, a couple took him away''

Khushi shot up from her seat, at once, stalking over to where Mrs Singh stood, '' is that his? '' The nurse nodded and handed it to khushi. Khushi turned over the band, and found nothing scribbled on it, except that, it was a boy, clinging onto it. Khushi brought it near her heart, when tears started to pour out.

A while later, '' I am really sorry dear, i wish i knew where he was'' And with that, the nurse shut the door on khushi's face after bidding her goodbye. Shuddering against the door, she stood their in the relatively silent ambiance, before walking over to the side table, she picked up the phone, dialing in a number, '' She came here..that woman came here'' after a monosyllable response from the other end, Mrs. Singh hung up.
--------------------
Khushi scanned the classroom avidly, before her eyes came to rest upon one specific little boy, who was busy with his finger painting. Rather, hand panting, by the looks of it. His tiny hands were covered in a multitude of colors, and all that vain concentration on the task ahead of him. He would from time to time, squint his eyes, burrow his brows, and than it wouldn't be long before the sparkle came back to his eyes. There was just something about him, it tugged at her heart.

It was no truth, when she took this job, it was a way to be close to be close to her own son. Some might think, she is delusional, other's understood well enough to know that one sometimes saw flicker of their own child in others. And Khushi was just a inane woman, trying to do just that. She was trying to find her own son, in countless others. Indeed it was a tragic way of thinking about it, but this was the price she had to pay. The total sum of her own choice.

A choice that never been forced upon her within certain words, but she always knew what was expected of her. Thats how life had been growing up also. Being the only child, every kind of direct attention lay on her and her only. It was always expected that she top the class, or bring home medals, never a concealed truth. But in all those years, there was another simple truth also, but it went unnoticed like many of her other wishes. She couldn't be the daughter they wanted her to be, never ever.

feeling a tug on her dress, Khushi turned around smiling, '' Miss Gupta, Neev took my colors'' the little girl whined, as any other four year old would, when another took something they really like. her little fists busy rubbing the wetness from her eyes, '' he even, pulled my ponytail'' pointing towards her two piglets, she frowned.

'' He did? Did he, now '' grasping the child's hand within her own, Khushi led her towards the same little boy, she felt some unknown connection too.

Neev, sensing someone was looking down at him, didn't look up. If he knew something about getting out of trouble, it was using his cuteness. It was time to try out this new teacher. Whether she failed or succeeded, would be decided later.

''Neev' Khushi cleared her throat, in hopes of gaining his attention. And she did, he looked up gently, those eyes of his, melting her insides within moments. But, she had to think like a teacher at the moment, she bent down to his level, '' taking someone else's things without permission is bad manners''

eyes downcast, Neev shuffled his arms together, and slackened, '' but i needed the yellow color''

''You could have asked her''

''I did ask, Miss teacher''

Khushi gleamed, turning over to the girl, who hid the tongue she had been wagging behind her back, '' Is that right, Kiran'' in return, kiran only shrugged, neither positively, nor negatively.

'' Sharing is a good thing. I am sure kiran if you had shared with Neev, he would have not taken your color without permission''

'' I wouldn't have!'' Neev, prompted with a glum of a expression '' i just needed yellow crayon to draw mommy'' blinking, he walked over to Kiran with a genuine smile, '' I am sorry''

And just like that, the little fight was forgotten, as kiran leaned into hug him, leaving little Neev speechless for a moment. Khushi expressed her shock also, but grinned as a way to show she approved of their new friendship.

Khushi turned to head back to her, but a hand clutched onto hers, stopping her in her tracks, '' Miss teacher. Do you think daddy will like this picture?''

Her eyes fell upon the picture, and she knew instantly, he would love it. If she had learned anything about the man she had seen last week, he was a doting father, '' He will love it, but --'' pausing, khushi scratched her forehead innocently, '' Where is mommy?''

Neev pointed towards the star, '' Mommy is a star'' And it would be wrong to not say, khushi felt herself fall for this child once again. Her heart constricted with pain for him '' Daddy said, she became a star, because mommy wanted to watch over me all the time''

'' Your daddy is very wise'' Khushi muttered to herself, stroking Aryan's cheek, '' Your mommy would be so proud of you''

''thats what daddy says also''' Neev grinned jumping up and down, turning back to his picture

---------------------------
The SUV, screeched as it braked near a large building, pulling into the parking lot. He opened the door, stepping out in a pair of Alden dress shoes, clad in a black three piece business suit. Stepping out, he buttoned up this jacket, closing the door arrogantly, leaving echoes to wither through the air. With each step forward, it spoke of his confidence, his stance, and his power.

He pushed open the glass door, striding through, met with a lady in her mid 30's, not fairly beautiful, but all the more stunning. When she looked up, he saw her eyes dilate wide causing a blush to stain her cheeks, '' I need to meet, Miss Gupta''

'' Do you have a appointment?'' She asked, swallowing the lump that had been stuck in her throat, ever since she had stared into those wonders of hazel

''Yes i do'' Arnav replied with a satiated smile that had the women in her own dream world, '' Also, please let her know, i am in a hurry''

Nodding, she picked up the phone, dialing through to the Khushi's cabin, but there was no one picking up, '' I think, she is out''

''You think or you know?''

flustered, he saw her rummage through the file of numbers and dial one, still getting no response, she smiled in returned, '' Yes, Mr Raizada, she is not in the office''

Arnav dismissed the words un - apologetically and moved towards the entrance door, when he saw her walk in. She seemed engrossed in a conversation, with another lady beside her, Decked in a black sleeveless wrap dressed, paired with red stilettos. Hair left in a messy bun with few tendrils adoring her face, and a silver chain hung around her neck. She took away his breath, with her simplicity/ And it was decided right there and then, this lady was dangerous and someone Arnav should definitely stay away from her. But he found his steps quickening in her direction.

''Is it your habit to keep people waiting. Or is this just special treatment for me?'' His voice rang out loud in the empty reception area, that had her steps halting near the end of the corridor. Turning around vigorously, her eyes narrowed to slits before resting up him, the fire slowing dying down as the realization dawned upon her. She waved her friend goodbye, heading in his direction.

''Mr. Raizada'' She flashed that bright smile of her's and Arnav felt his heart do a flip. Definitely, wickedly alluring, he concluded to himself. But he reprimanded his trail of thoughts, as it dawned that she was Aryan's teacher also. It would be inappropriate to have a relation with her, when his son was in the same company of a woman. And, plus the women was engaged, sought to be married!

She forwarded her hand, '' I am sorry to keep you waiting''

''I am sorry too'' He bit out, not acknowledging the hand that waited to greet him. He shrugged and turned around, '' If we can be in a private setting, i'd like to discuss a few things with you''

Khushi bluntly took back her hand, taking a cue , '' Sure, we can go in my cabin'' turning towards the stairs, she pointed towards her office, and he followed right behind.

Opening the door to her sanctuary, she led Arnav in, and motioned him to take a seat. Arnav being, well...er..Arnav decided to look around. He noticed in one glance the office held no memorable's, or pictures to make the room more personal. In fact it was even bland for his taste, the eggshell colored walls were just a drab, and the few pieces of furniture failed to bring life any life to this room.

But if you looked at her, there was color, life...er at a distance but it was there, so he wondered. Why the contrast?

''So, Mr Raizada, what brings you to my office?'' Khushi asked, arms on table, chin resting in between. Arnav brows raised in surprise to finding her ring gone, he looked at her curiously but hid his confusion before it could reach her. It was no business of his to pry into her personal matters. But, if he had been aware, minutes later, he would be asking the same lady out on a date, Arnav would have let her peer into his confusion. So she could have steered clear of him, thereby, ridding himself of her also. But the question was a simple, If. In life there many if's, but harsh reality was they always came after the deed was done.

'''Arnav --'' He corrected, '' Its Arnav, not Mr Raizada that's my father's name''

Khushi chose to ignore the remark and went forth, '' Anyway, so Arnav what brings you here?'' she asked with a forced smile.

''The polite thing would be to tell me your name in return'' He quipped, causing vehement to bloom in her eyes, before she sobered up again, '' Khushi, Khushi Gupta''

Khushi
, The name itself was a poet's language and than with a face like that, Arnav was sure, God had made her with extra care. She was so unlike, anyone he had met prior, there was a spark about her. It was hard to put it into exact words, but Arnav was sure, she was different, different good.

'"Now, can you tell me, what are you doing here?''

'' I don't know, i thought maybe we could discuss the letter you sent in the morning?''

She seemed confused at first, but than realization hit her, '' Oh of course. What would you like to discuss about it?''

'' I'd like to discuss a lot, but i am short of time'' standing up, Arnav pulled out his cellphone, '' Dinner tonight, he asked surprising Khushi, who fumbled with a response. But had she looked up, she would seen a first hand experience at a shocked out of his wits, Arnav Singh Raizada. Sadly, she hadn't, engrossed in her own daze.

'' Mr. Raizada are you asking me on a date?''

''No i am asking, whether we can meet tonight, discuss business, have dinner, and than maybe say a cordial goodbye'' smirking, he continued, '' that doesn't sound like a date to me ?''

Khushi seemed struck by his words for a second, she forgot her surroundings for a moment, '' So, i'll see you tonight?'' smiling, Arnav left the room without waiting for her reply. Because he already knew her answer, her eyes had whispered it before, her lips could interfere.

Walking out of the office, the only thought invading his mind was, what had he done? He had just asked out his son's teacher on a date and to make it more awkward, he had kind of coerced her into it. What happened to, staying away because she was Neev's teacher?

I mean seriously? Are you serious - You are copying my work and posting it as your own and then asking for comments. This is completely disgusting! And it is because of reasons like this, i am not comfortable sharing my work on IF. You are taking credit for my words. Just because you changed Aryan to Neev, at some places, does not make it your story!! You can't even copy correctly. Did you think that no one would notice? If you want to try something different than for once try writing your own story! Had hai! You just took separate paragraphs and posted them as yours?

Thank you for pming me. I am definitely taking my story off. I have had enough of this.

EDITED
I am requesting you kindly, to take this story off!
