Khiladi 786 & Dabangg 2 - Bollywood Box Office Saving Grace for Last Quarter of 2012.

With only Khiladi 786 and Dabangg 2 left in the last quarter of 2012, will these two films be the saving grace of Bollywood Box Office. Yes, out of 5 major releases of last quarter Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Son of Sardaar and Talaash verdict is more or less out. With JTHJ being a Super Hit and SOS being a Hit, it is not doubt that these films have grossed 100 crore nett mark, but one would have expected much more than that. With Talaash verdict is awaited, still it will hover around the 100 crore nett mark in its lifetime. Nowadays 100 crore is the minimum benchmark for big star cast films. Even niche film like Barfi! and OMG has collected huge. One would have safely said that these big films should easily cross 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office.

With earlier release of the year like Ek Tha Tiger, Rowdy Rathore and Agneepath already big grosser of the year one would have expected that last quarter films would have given run for money to these movies. Anyways all is not lost. With Khiladi 786 and Dabangg 2 still to be released, let's be optimist. Reason, these films stars - one being the champion of crowd pullers to the theaters and another having an outstanding year at the box office in 2012.

Akshay Kumar is having one of the best year in his life. Despite giving a debacle in Joker no one can deny that Akshay is having a rollicking year and much credit should be given to him. Rowdy Rathore being the second biggest grosser of the year and biggest grosser ever of Akshay Kumar. It is an universal Hit with Blockbuster status in India. His other two releases Housefull 2 and Oh My God are mega Hit. If K786 repeat the Hit status for Akshay then 2012 might be the best year of Akshay in his film career.

Salman Khan the name is itself a brand today. When all other big stars are struggling to get past 100 crore nett mark, his film are setting records on how fast it can touch 100 crore. With ETT already neared 200 crore nett mark, it can be safely said that Dabangg 2 should easily cross 100 crore nett mark and how much after that is the main question. Dabangg 2 releasing in a normal weekend with only 25th as Holiday, still anything less than 130-140 crore mark will be under performing tag by Salman's standard.

Hence, inspite of knowing that, 'All that glitters are not gold', still we can expect Gold Rush at Box Office with these last two big films (K786 & Dabangg 2) set to release.

Khiladi 786 Advance Booking Report.

Khiladi 786 Advance Booking started all over India in almost all centers. Still few percentage of cinemas have started advance booking from today only. As per early trend the advance booking report is slow for K786. Around 15-20% tickets are sold out on average. Few high-end plexes have recorded 50-60% advance booking, but the figures are very few.

K786 is masala entertainer and such film generally don't depend much on advance booking. Previous example being Rowdy Rathore and Bol Bachchan which registered average to poor advance booking, but registered huge opening at the box office. As for the film buzz, it istremendous, music is super hit and it will start well no matter what happens to the content, at least for first weekend.

Below are the advance booking report of few cinemas from Mumbai and Delhi centers as on 06-12-2012, 11:00 am.

Mumbai -
Fun Cinemas: Andheri - 10%
CineMAX: Infiniti 2 Mall, Malad (W) - 15%
Sun City: Vile Parle - 45%
CineMAX: Versova (Gold Class) - 65%
CineMAX: Goregaon (W) -30%

Delhi -
Fun Cinemas: CRM, Shahdara - 10%
CineMAX: Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar - 12%
Satyam Cineplexes: Patel Nagar - 18%
Satyam Cineplexes: Janak Place - 13%

3/5 bcoz its INDIA aur yaha aise movie chaltha hai...agar entertaining raha tho 100Cr + tho definitly hoga😆...and i never believe TA, he gave 3.4😆
