Hi all you wonderful people (who are currently upset with the ending of today's episode). I decided, why not cheer you all up with another OS? Yes, this is starting to become a daily routine for me now.
It's a bit short since I wrote it up in 30 minutes and because I have to get back to studying!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it. It'll be continued from today's episode!
(I cut down on the Radha-Madhu-RK scene because I didn't want to think about that ahah.)
Enjoy!
Surprise!
Madhu stood, staring at the letter in her hands. It was gone, it wasn't readable, and it was ruined. All her efforts of trying to express her love for RK went down the drain within a second. Madhu dropped the letter back into the mess on the ground. She went and sat on the edge of the bed whilst thinking of RK and his sudden change of mood.
RK walked back in as Madhu was lost in thought. He saw the mess on the ground.
"NEHA!" RK called for the maid.
Madhu was taken out of her trance from RK's loud roar. She looked towards him as he acted indifferent towards her. As if she wasn't there. Madhu looked back down and a tear fell from her eyes, little did she know that RK's eyes were on her now.
Neha came rushing into the room.
"Clean this up," RK ordered her.
"Yes sir."
RK went to his cupboard and took out some clothes. He snuck a glance towards Madhu and saw her eyes full of tears waiting to fall. He went to the washroom without saying a word.
Madhu got up off the bed as she saw Radha walk into their room.
"Ma," she said as she held back tears.
"You call me ma, ma, but I never was able to become your ma."
"No ma, who said that? You're my ma."
"How do you have such a big heart to forgive everyone?"
RK came out in a blue jacket, the jacket he had worn the day he had forcefully married Madhu, the jacket he had worn the day he first brought Madhu into his room. The jacket that had "time for a change" written all over it.
RK was leaning against the wall and suddenly spoke up.
"And what did it cost her." he said as he raised an eyebrow.
Radha and Madhu looked towards RK who began to walk towards them.
"Rishu..."
"Now, should I call Bittuji to give you a special invitation to leave?" RK said sarcastically.
Radha knew it would be best for her to leave and so she did. Madhu watched in tears as Radha left their room. Then her eyes met RK's.
"You're coming with me," he said in a firm voice.
"Wh...where are we going?" Madhu asked whilst still trying to hold back her tears.
"You'll see," he said as he grabbed her arm and began to walk with her out of their room.
------------
The car stopped in front of the studio. Madhu looked at RK.
"I thought you cancelled all your..."
RK cut her off, "I did."
"Then why ar..."
"Just wait biwi," RK said as he got out of the car.
Madhu stepped out as RK reached her side. He grabbed her hand and walked with her towards the studio entrance.
They walked into complete darkness. Madhu felt frightened instantly.
"RK...the dark..." she said in a scared voice.
"Don't worry, I'm here, " he replied as he put his arm around her shoulders.
They walked for a minute and then came to a stop. It was pitch black, and then suddenly RK spoke.
"Lights, camera...ACTION!" just as he said the last word, the lights came on.
At first Madhu felt blinded by the sudden brightness, but as she focused her eyes she saw decorations. She looked at RK and then straight ahead, there stood a sign that read "Happy Karva Chauth Biwi!"
Madhu was shocked, so shocked that she felt it was difficult to close her mouth to bring a smile to her face.
The set looked so beautiful, the red and gold decorations, the sign, the lights, everything...everything was perfect. Madhu was in awe.
Madhu was frozen in place when suddenly RK stepped in front of her.
"Surprise! Happy Karva Chauth biwi," he said as he put out his arms to show her the place.
"RK..." she said while still in awe.
"Biwi, why's your mouth open? Are you hungry? The food's over there," Madhu's eyes followed as RK pointed to the left.
There stood a table full of food, and jewelry.
"The tray..." she said slowly.
"Biwi, if I ate at home, then I wouldn't have been hungry enough to eat here. I had to put up that act so that you wouldn't figure out my surprise. How'd you like it?" he smiled.
"I love it," Madhu said softly as she pushed herself into RK's arms.
RK wasn't expecting that, another hug? This time the hug wasn't because of sadness, but rather happiness. RK let Madhu take in the joy of the surprise in his arms and waited for her to slowly back away.
Once she did, she looked up at him and smiled.
"Stupid, I thought you meant it," Madhu said as a tear fell from her eye and she jokingly pushed on RK's chest.
RK wiped away her tear and spoke, "Madhu, you've already earned all the respect in the world from me. You never begged for it. You earned it. I just had to lie at home because...yeah," RK gestured behind him.
Madhu smiled, "Thank you RK..."
"It's the least I could do, you went through so much for me on your first Karva Chauth, and so thank YOU Mrs. Kundra," RK connected her with him in that moment.
RK understood she had kept a fast for him as his wife and calling her Mrs. Kundra was only logical. Madhu smiled at him, hearing "Mrs. Kundra" from his mouth only made the night even more special.
RK continued to quote Bittuji, "Besides, a girl's first Karva Chauth only comes once in a lifetime."
RK smiled and then led Madhu towards the decorated set to celebrate her first Karva Chauth happily.
