Ankita Lokhande to wrap up shoot for Pavitra Rishta by 15 February; show might end soon

Ankita Lokhande is no doubt a household name when it comes to the popularity that she has scaled over the past few years playing the lead role of Archana in Balaji Telefilms' long running show on Zee TV, Pavitra Rishta.
However, the lady has managed to get the title of the 'tantrum queen' on the sets, courtesy her adamant and arguing nature. Recently, a section of the media had written about Ankita contemplating to quit the show which has given her all the name and fame. We now hear that Ankita has in fact finalized things, and is all set to wrap up her shoot by 15 February 2013.
An inside source said that the creative team of Pavitra Rishta has always had a tough time adjusting to Ankita's whims and fancies. Ankita wanted to quit the show when Sushant Singh Rajput put down his papers. But the creatives had somehow managed to hold her back then. But now, when the show took yet another jump in time of seven months, after which Archana (played by Ankita Lokhande) was to be shown as a grandmother, Ankita decided to call it 'quits'.
Even now, the creatives tried hard to talk it out with her, but to no avail. Having said this, there is a pleasant 'calm' on the sets of Pavitra Rishta these days, as the people working with Ankita on the show, whether it be the cast or crew have a sigh of relief that the 'act of convincing Ankita all over again' is finally over.
A reliable source did inform us that Ekta Kapoor is already planning a new daily soap for Zee TV. And going by the hints that we are getting from the sets of Pavitra Rishta, it looks as though the Czarina of television has accepted the fact that the days of her successful show Pavitra Rishta are really numbered, post the exit of Ankita Lokhande. We tried getting in touch with Ankita…but she remained unavailable.
Well, post Pavitra Rishta… we wonder if Ankita can continue to remain on the 'popularity chart' for long. Only time will tell…
