I've begun another ff about ArVi. Please tell if I should continue.




Chapter 1


Secret

Ch1

She stood outside the house that belonged to the Deshmuskh's. And unknown to her belonged to the Kirloskar's too. Did she make a right decision of returning to her family after the 6 long years since she left? For who's benefit had she left? For Archana's. For Arjun's. For Ovi's. And somewhere for herself.

She came out of her riviera of thought after she felt a light tug at her dress. She smiled down at the cute 5 year old child with dimples.

"Mama, why are we here?" He asked.

"We're here to meet some important people."

Although it took her about a week to find the new address. She would finally be able to see her family again.

They both walked toward the entrance of the house and knocked on the door. A moment later the door was opened by Teju.

"Purvi? Purvi is that really you."

"Yeah. It's me." She smiled.

"'Ma! Ma! Ma, where are you? Ma, guess who's at the door. Its Purvi." Teju shouted at the top of her lungs.

All the family member present at home walked to the door to see what the commotion was about. She saw the faces of Damodar, Savita, Manav, Archana and DK staring at her in amazement, not believing that she was actually stood at the door.

"Hello everyone." She greeted them.

They saw her shuffle and holding hands with a little boy.

"Mama, papa this is Rohan. My son." She told archana and manav. "I know you have a lot of questions and I will answer them...later."

"It's ok purvi come inside." Archana told purvi.

"Thanks ma."

All the residents of the house formed a special bond with Rohan within minutes. Purvi had told them about her struggles and achievements. Then all listened; sometimes in sympathy and sometimes in awe.

It was now 5 o'clock in the evening and archana decided to cook purvi's favourite food.

"Ma, I'll come and help you."

Purvi knew her mother was about to decline her offer so she gave her puppy dog eyes.

"Ok come on."

Whilst purvi was in the kitchen arjun walked into the living room with soham and sachin.

"Dad, papa we've finally got that contract that we've been trying to get since last month."

"That's great. Congratulations."

"Papa", soham said to manav. "Who is that little boy sat in your lap?"

"This is Rohan, my grandson and yours and sachin's nephew."

"What? Does that mean he's Ovi's-"

"SOHAM! DON'T EVER MENTION THAT NAME IN HIS HOUSE AGAIN."

"Lekin papa-"

The loud arguement made all the women move to the living room.

"WHAT I SAID IS FINAL!" manav shouted.

"Papa. What's final?"

Everyone turned to the source of the one who questioned manav. Purvi.

"Papa. What's final?" She question again.

"Purvi." Soham said and walked towards her.

"Soham bhaiyya. I see you've excepted this family as your family."

"Indeed I have. And the reason is you. You know, everyday in prison I thought about how my family would be like if I wasn't abducted and then I realised there was no reason to wait. I could have everything and I was so close to losing it."

"But you didn't did you."

"No I didn't. Only because of you. I'm so glad I have a sister who believed in me when even I didn't believe in me. " He said with tears in his eyes.

"And I'm lucky to have a brother like you."

Purvi hugged Saoham. She move toward Sachin.

"Sachin bhaiyya, how are you?"

"I'm fine purvi. We all missed you." He moved forward and gave purvi a quick hug.

"Papa. Why were you shouting?" She asked manav.

"It was nothing beta." Manav told. There was definitely something wrong. Purvi felt a tug at her dress.

"Mama, who are all these people?"

She bend down so she was able to talk to her son properly.

"Rohan, this is your Soham Mamu and this is your Sachin Mamu." She pointed out each of the individual. She smiled at their shocked expressions.

"And who is that?" He asked questioningly pointing at arjun.

"That is Arjun uncle."

She gave a forced smile not noticed by anyone except Arjun.

Arjun looked at Purvi although she looked perfectly fine her eyes were tired and looked worn out.

Purvi turned to teju.

"Teju will take Rohan to play for outside for a while."

"Sure."

"Rohan, go out and play with you teju maasi. You know she loves football."

"Really?" His eyes lit up in excitement.

"Really."

"Come on maasi. I want to go out and play."

And soon as he walked out purvi soon up and smile was replace with a feature of pain.

"Everyone please sit down." Purvi said seriously.

Without questioning her they all sat down on the couches.

Purvi was still standing.

"I need to tell you something." She said with tears forming in her eyes.

"I didn't come just a visit. I needed to ask you something. I need your help."

"Purvi tell us what wrong beta." Savita told her.

"Dadi...," she said with tears rolling down her eyes

They all looked at each other.

"Purvi your beginning to scare us? What's the matter?" Archana said.

Chapter 2


"I need to tell you something." She said with tears forming in her eyes.

"I didn't come just for a visit. I needed to ask you something. I need your help."

"Purvi tell us what wrong beta." Savita told her.

"Dadi...," she said with tears rolling down her eyes

They all looked at her then at each other.

"Purvi your beginning to scare us? What's the matter?" Archana said.

"Ma, he needs a matching donor and I'm not it."

"Who needs a matching donor purvi?"

"Rohan." She croaked. The unimaginable pain covered her face.

"Yes Rohan and what kind of mother am I. I can't save my own child? What kind of mother am I to look at my son's deteriorating health?"

She slumped to the floor. Everyone was shocked. Rohan... Rohan was ill? Soham got up and caught Purvi before she touched the floor.

"Ey purvi. Nothings going to happen to our little champ. We're all here, aren't we?"

"You know what the worst thing is," she gazed the floor with trickling down her face. "even after owning a successful company, making suitable profits, deals, income. It all useless because I can't save him."

She looked at Soham.

"Bhaiyya, what do I do if I lose him? How am I going to live. I'll go crazy. He's the only reason that I'm still breathing or else I would be dead right now."

"Purvi!" Archana who was in tears walked up to purvi.

SMACK!!

She slapped Purvi.

"Ma, this slap isn't going to make me repent what I said. What would you do if you lost one of us, your children? What if you lost your reason for living? What I told you about what I did whilst I was gone was true but it was only part of the story. I did try to commit suicide after I left."

Gasps echoed the room.

"Purvi..." Archana said.

Purvi ignored Archana and continued.

"That first month I didn't call you I was in the hospital with in a coma. My brain started to swell causing to much pressure on my skull.
When I woke up. I was still a zombie. I left the hospital and the first person I thought of was the one I had to forget."

Arjun knew she was talking about him.

"That was when I rang you. I started living but I wasn't the same purvi anymore. When rohan was born he changed me." She smiled stuck in some distant memory.

"Who's his father?"

"Papa, don't ever ask that question. His father will never know he's born." For the first time they all saw anger etched in her face.

"Will you all get tested and see if your a match, please?" She begged.

"Of course, we will. He is the happiness of this house now and I will try everything in my power to save him." Manav promised.

"Sometimes that power isn't enough." She sighed sadly. "Papa is it ok if we stay here?"

"It your home,Purvi. Of course it is."

"Thank you."

"Come on everyone let's go eat." Archana said.

"I'll go call Teju and Rohan." Soham said.

They all sat down at the table.

"Papa, where is Ovi?" She asked.

She was confused since Arjun was here shouldn't she be here? Arjun ears pricked up. As did everyone else's.

"Purvi. Beta, don't ever bring that name up in this family again. Am I clear?" Although he said this calmly she could see the underlying anger and hate. She looked at everyone else. They all had the same expression. Blank and in thought.

Teju, Soham and Rohan walked in.

"Purvi could I feed Rohan, please?"

Purvi was about to speak when Rohan spoke.

"No! Only my mama can feed me."

"But I'm your mama's sister, your maasi. Come on. Please."

"No mamma is the only one who feeds me."

"Some other time teju." Purvi told her.

"Fine." Teju mock frowned.

Purvi got up and sat Rohan on the chair next to her.

"Mama, how long are we going to stay here?"

She smiled at her son. "For a while. Why do you ask?"

"I wanted to go out and see some places in Mumbai."

"Ok we'll go tomorrow."

"Really mama?"

"Yes really."

Rohan jumped off his seat and hugged purvi with a huge grin on his face.

"Thanks mama." Purvi hugged him back but with a sad expression on her face.

Everyone looked at the duo in awe.

"Ok now sit down so I can feed you."

He did ask he was told.

There were several discussion at the table. After these ended DK as Rohan.

"Rohan beta. What year are you in school?"

"Five, uncle."

"Really?"

"Rohan is bright for his age uncle. He has a photographic memory. That's the reason why I hire a tutor for him." purvi explained.

"Well my child, you definitely haven't gone on your grandfather then." DK joked. The room erupted with laughter.

"When do I get to meet my jiju then." Teju asked.

"Teju. You don't have a jiju. Please, don't ask that question again."

Arjun was surprised at Purvi's reaction. What exactly was she trying to hide? Why was she so defensive when her family asked her about her husband? Her son's father.
