After reading so many of the wonderful FF's out there, I tht I wld try one and see where it went, story is 7 years later after Bani left Mr. Walia, she is now working as a manger organizing all the big functions for a big hotel in Goa.
Another Chance
Chaper 1
Bani checked her watch again, as everything has to be perfect. With a quiet glow of satisfaction, she smiled at the bride nervously waiting. She reached out and twitched the lengha into a perfect fold. The dupatta was spread out perfectly and the lace and beading shimmered in the light.
The mother of the bride cleared her throat and asked, bharat to kab keh aye chuke, to yeh dehr kya lagta hai.
Bani looked at the anxious face of the mother and smiled at the thought of the enxious mother, In just a moment the pandit will let someone know and we will then proceed down the stairs. I will signal from the door and that'll be your cue. After five years of planning weddings big and small and other very important parties, Bani was confident in all the plans made for this particular one.
The bride, Sonia was radiant. Bani felt a pang, as she did at almost every wedding, remembering her own hurried affair that took place so long ago. Bani had always dreamed of a lavish wedding, the mehndi night, sangeet and the wedding complete with a heavy decorated bridal outfit, all of her friends around her and afterwards a celebration reception with family and friends that went on forever and that special night with the man she marries. She hadn't had that, so she did her best to give a perfect day to every one of her clients.
Lost in her thoughts, Bani didn't hear the pandit ask for the bride until he asked again, this raising his voice, with a startled look she signaled to the ladies to get ready to proceed to the mandap, Feeling happy and sad at the same time as she watched the bride with her friends.
"I'll meet you right here after the ceremony," Bani assured Sonia. "We'll take photos just before we head for the reception."
As Sonia began her walk down the long stairs of the old castle where the the ceremony was being held, Bani watched from the top hiding behind the pillar. The huge room was almost filled to capacity. Prem Khander was a City Councilman, one of the richest men in Goa. His only daughter was marrying a man he deemed worthy of her, so he had pulled out all stops.
Bani looked towards the groom. His eyes were for Sonia only as she walked down the stairs towards him, clearly seeing the love in his eyes and on his face. She smiled again. This was going to be perfect. Her gaze drifted thru the hall looking at all the different people standing around. One man, near the front by the groom's side, stood taller than the people surrounding him. He turned his head and his gaze locked with hers. For a moment Bani's heart stopped she couldn;'t breath. It couldn't be! She felt the room spin around her. It was a coincidence, someone who looked like Mr. Walia. He couldn't be here. He was off around the world with his mistress Roshni and maybe his wife by now setting records in opening up bigger and better hotels.
Bani almost marched down the stairs to confront him, where have you been, why didn't you come after me, I love you so much, but new that now was not the time. She kept looking at him and thinking how wonderful he looked, still the most handsome man, he can still make my heart race and my palms sweat, remembering the old times, the touch, the kiss, that last night before she left, Bani shook her head to bring her back to today, and looked again staring right into his eyes as Mr. Walia looking at her with a sexy smile, winked at her turned to face the wedding ceremony.
Bani was so lost in her thoughts after that she forgot about the details still remaining to ensure the wedding and reception progressed flawlessly. She couldn't breath and could only think of why Mr Walia was here? She didn't remember seeing his name on the guest list. His was one name that was engraved in her mind forever.
She'd often dreamed of running into him again. Sometimes she slapped him so hard his head snapped back. Other times, she dreamed of seeing him with open harms waiting for her as she ran into them while her kissed her all over her face, telling her how much he loved and missed her and other times she pretended she hadn't a clue who he was and had never come into her life. Once in a while, she let herself fantasize his return was because he couldn't live without her. But that was so far from reality she rarely let herself indulge in that particularly fantasy. As she thinks back to the morning she heard and saw Roshni confessing her luv 2 him, telling him to leave Bani and go away with her and build a future with her, as Bani was a child and would not be able to please him as a wife should, could be by his side in the business world that they were accustomed to, seeing Roshini with her hands on his face looking deep into his eyes with his his hands on her waist and hearing Mr. Walia saying yes Roshni I luved you with all my heart, Bani couldn;t stand to hear or watch anymore as she blindly went back to her room and started packing with sobs racking her body and remembering what had happened the night before. How Mr. Walia had come into the room and touched her, kissed her and made her his wife in all aspects.
Bani backed behind the pillar with tears hidden now escaping, wishing she could deny what she'd seen and heard. There was no way the husband who had married her seven years ago and betrayed her 3 months later for his first luv would show up out of the blue now.
Okay guys that's it for now, please let me know what you think, should I continue or not, this is my first FF and your feedback is very important to me. Good or bad I need to hear from you, should I continue, is this boring, ANY SUGGESTIONS will not be turned away.
