So as I said yesterday that something is really off lately with Arjun, he seems more angry, he is crossing all kinds of limits and now he is even missing clues, what is going on with our super-cop ACP Arjun Raute?😆

yup...i too felt that Arjun was missing the obvious yesterday...why didnt he try to question the inspector who was tied up and being termed as the killer? i felt he should have asked him something when the first murder took place...

next, the reason for the killing was weak...wasnt the maniac killer himself telling lies and faking his identity?? if he hated lies and liars so much that he could kill them, then why was he doing the same??
i mean maniacs are people who are eccentric and obsessive about something...so his telling lies so easily wasnt digestible...
anyways, i liked the episode for Arjun...and the different concept...kudos to the CVs...but loop holes could have been avoided...and i missed the ETF team!

Even I thought there were loopholes, major ones. Like when the fake inspector asked Arjun to prove his identity, I was surprised that Arjun did not validate the obvious. Also the captive inspector, his face was shut and his hands were tied, but his legs weren't, why was he just sitting, he did almost nothing to make any diff to the situation. About 4-5 people died in Arjun, the supercop's presence, that was so like CID where people just keep getting killed. The actor chosen to play Austine, I knew the very moment he first appreared that he was a fake police office. They should have done something for us to beleive otherwise and not the obvious. Great thought no less but could have been executed better. But this show brings some variety and is not repititve.

My fav episode is the one about the chess grandmaster killer. It was a super episode. So well executed.

shilpa di ..i have not seen d epi yet

but u wrote a line : "killing the monster within yourself first and the world will look beautiful"

the hindi v/s is sumthing like dis :"Apne mann (soul) ke Rakshas ko maar do..."

one can interpret it as : It solely depends on how i perceive d world around me ...if i think that every thing is wrong ..evrery thing is Bad...den i will start pointing out wrong in every1

Similarly...if my thinking is gud, positive, optimistic ...den i will start figuring out gud even in worst

So dis is wat it meant...according to me

Thanks for the translations Tani, it was a good message I thought.

I agree with everyone here, overall the episode was good even with all the loopholes, it was a different concept with Arjun on his own, and it showed that even he can miss the simplest things, so in a way it was good, but I wish rest of the team was there also.

In case you, or anyone else, is interested in the full text of Arjun's ending comments to Austin D'Souza, they go as follows, and they are also self-explanatory, and are pretty much in line with your earlier summary of it.

Tum masoom logon ki jaan sachchai ka bahana banakar nahi le sakte. Duniya ko kaise saaf karoge jab tumahre andar itni gandagi bhari huyi hai? Tumhe sirf khoon karne ka ek chaska lag gaya hai,, aur tumhe sirf ek wajah chahiye, chahe wo kuch bhi ho. Tum me ek janwar paida ho gaya hai. Agar duniya ma insaniyat ko bachana hai to pehle apne andar ke is janwar ko pehchano aur use maro. Duniya apne ap khoobsoorat ho jayegi.

You cannot take the lives of innocent people using the truth as an excuse, How will you cleanse the world when there is so much filth piled up inside you? You have merely acquired a yen for killing, and all you need is an excuse, no matter what it is. There is an animal that has taken shape (birth) inside you. If humaneness is to be saved in the world, you must first recognise this animal inside you and kill it. Then the world will become beautiful on its own.

What I object to about this otherwise eloquent passage is this facile equation of wanton brutality and animal behaviour. Even wild animals attack and kill only when they sense mortal danger, or when they are hungry and kill for a meal. It is only humans who kill for revenge, greed, or at times for the plain sadistic pleasure in the act of killing.
