There were a few questions that arose last night , if all of this was really preplanned. ( I was one
among the few who asked this as well ) As the timing was pretty suspicious i.e announcement about the show ending right after SPL & the new show all of a sudden ready to air.
But this is what I got to know & this is real news. This was indeed an abrupt decision. The PH had signed in Viraf Patel & also shot a few epis. The accident scene of Arnav was as well shot. Our chances & hopes got crashed everyday. But like a few of us stressed , that don't ever give up ..keep the pressure intact, anything can happen anytime etc That thing's proved right today.
Yes the PH & SP higher officials were involved in a tiff from friday I guess i.e the day when SaRun & the rest left for the UK. Nothing was decided yet then But the SPL event was a major game changer. When the SPL officials saw it for themselves on how, around 90 % of the crowd there was only & only there for SaRun ..they were flabbergasted. They infact hadn't even expected as much crowd as much, had really turned up. So yes, it was an abrupt decision to end the show , as the Channel & the PH were not on the same page. The PH wasn't willing to consider anything & the channel as well adamant now that the show will only continue with SaRun. A few more clashes & Bam ! the announcement !
No one except the for higher officials knew about this. The others, in the various other depts of SP as well, didn't quite catch wind of anything that had been going on. Yeah they knew the show would go off air real soon, but NOT so abruptly & soon,until yesterday. Usually the news about a show going offair comes to them 2 months in prior to it's last date of airing, but in the case of IPK , it was all just a sudden turn of events that happened in about a week's time, of which the last 3-4 days played the key role & in a way was the deciding factor.
" Kaali " the new show replacing IPK was originally supposed to air somewhere around mid or late december. It was supposed to replace the show " Ruk jaana nahiin " @ the 6.00 PM slot. But due to the abrupt decision taken for IPK, the channel had demanded that they start airing episodes from next monday i.e 3rd december I suppose. But it's only for a temporary while. The show won't remain at the 8.00 PM slot permanently ..as I am not allowed to tell this, but ..the prime time slot is mostly alloted only to shows that are or have a great potential of attracting a large no.of audience & ratings.
Another thing I heard is , we're gonna be having a maha epi this saturday to end the show on a high note with SaRun as ArHi. That's the rule in SP. Every show that ends, ends with a maha epi. So SaRun are gonna shoot for two more days ..
The one thing I know is, SaRun have 85 - 90 % chances of being brought back in a new show with SP , if there's demand for them. SaRun are SP's lucky charms. They are SP's favourite duo !

Plus, it's highly unlikely that we can get an IPK2. As you may know , the CRs of the show remains with the PH & the PH isn't willing to wanna have anything to do with IPK anymore. With all that happened between the channel & the PH , I doubt if even the Channel would wanna work with the PH again. So yeah, unless they do something after the show goes off air..get the CRs from the PH somehow, this is as good as not happening. So don't pin in your hopes & expectations on a new season. This was a miracle what happened above. With Viraf already signed in , Arnav's death scene already shot , it's nothing short of a miracle if SP still came up & is willing to give us an ending with SaRun as ArHi. Now coming to the jobs of 200 people, Mr. LM is talking about ..what was the PH thinking when they had indirectly hinted us about their disinterest in the show & came up with that forum32 letter ?
Anyway, so this is the news I have right now for you. So if you guys wanna ask for SaRun again, don't confuse SP all the more with demands like " We want an IPK2 with SaRun & the same cast etc ". If they are being bombarded with such demands & still can't do anything due to the copyright issues & fiasco , they might just think that the viewers will not accept SaRun in a new show & even stop thinking about that. So at most , when you talk to Star operators on phone , mail them etc, give them options , that either bring IPK2 with SaRun & the same cast or give us a new romantic show with SaRun. Stress on the latter :) That's the most easy & the most probable one of the two. The former is as good as not happening.
Just stress on the second option or only tell them that thing ..don't even mention the first one. Also kindly stress that "bring Sanaya & Barun back in a new " romantic " show " . Remember IPK is a love story ? :) So we need another romantic show with SaRun & not just any other show , where they're put as leads but the story or the theme of the show revolves around something else altogether. So yes, we don't want that right ? We can start demanding now for this.. but be patient & have faith :) Bringing them in a new show is not a matter of some mere 2-3 weeks or something..it will take a little while atleast, a few months. So we need to be consistent & patient.
Like I said, Star never wanted IPK offair. They never wanted SaRun gone. SaRun are their lucky charms. They wanted this show to run for 3-4 years minimum. No successful show in star ends before 3 years. But since you all know what happened, nothing much could be done. You also know SP is willing to have a new show SaRun , so let's help them implement that :)
