What is your take on remarriage?
My take on remarriage is very much positive, Just as the people in this industry say that the show must go on, I believe that we live only once and that there is no use of crying on something we can't control.Though it's very hard to actually do it but I suggest that one should move in his or her life or else they would miss out on so many things. And I believe on the saying, which is very important in today's world that, one should move on. We are already in the 21st century and have moved forward in our thinking. So remarriage for me is very positive.
Rapport with co-actor Gurmeet?
He is a very positive and nice guy. His wife is very nice as I have met her and we are friends now.I know he has a crazy female fan following.
Journey to small screen industry?
Well, I've completed 5 years in this industry as I started my career with Kasautii Zindagii Kay, after which I did a few reality shows, followed by Jhansi and now Punar Vivah. I am so blessed to be in this industry and in this city. I came to Mumbai to just complete a project and one of my friends took me to an audition.

Reason of staying away from TV for so long after Jhansi Ki Rani and not opt for any reality or fiction show?
"I know being a part of a reality has emerged as a trend but I am not a trend follower but a trendsetter. After Jhansi Ki Rani, so many mythological shows went on air. And I am sure after Punar Vivah, I will start a new trend altogether which the world will follow,' says Kratika.

Role Play
When Jhansi Ki Rani was getting over, I really wished to do a lighthearted romantic show. So I took up Punar Vivah - Zindagi Milegi Dobara. This show is a different kind of love story. I play the role of a homely mother who hails from a small town; but is a new generation woman at the same time - she doesn't care much about the society or what people have to say about her way of life.
Romantic, who me?
In real life, I am not a romantic person. I am a fun person and a complete tomboy. Given a choice, I'd never read Mills & Boons romances, but I'm more a Paulo Coelho person. I am more realistic.
Fan-tastic demands
A lot is being said about my on screen pairing with Gurmeet Choudhary. I had to undergo a look test to fit into the role. It upsets me when I get requests and even gentle threats from fans (on microblogging sites) saying I should quit the show because Gurmeet would look better with Drashti (Dhami), his former costar. I'd like to ask them to watch Gurmeet and my work together and I promise not to disappoint anyone.
Fans are very emotional people and when they have seen you with some people and they like your chemistry, they expect you to work with the same person again."
Me time
I am a complete water baby. I love to swim and listen to good music. I don't have many friends in the television industry as I am an introvert who likes her own set of friends. I also don't plan for the future and believe in living for the moment.
DECCAN CHRONICLE
What about the role of a single mother in Punar Vivah excited you?
She is not a helpless mother but a person who is ready to face the world even after her husband has left her for another woman. Her in-laws want to see her married as they feel Aarti is suffering. She has a son and when she realises that her son is deprived of a father's love, Aarti goes ahead with the marriage. I chose this show because it's a romantic story which is very different. I don't think this concept has been tried before on television.
Often, actors take a long break once a serial ends. Did you think of doing so?
I did take a break for six months. I got an offer from Phulwa and Shobha Somnath Ki. When my show Jhansi Ki Rani ended, I had told people that I wanted to do a romantic show next; and Punar Vivah came my way.
Any chances of vivah in real life too?
Not at all. I am very much single and happy. It's not that I don't have time for love but all I would say is that I am a Cancerian and I will wait for my Mr. Right. But currently I don't have time to think about it all. I just want to focus on my career. I shoot the whole day and the time I get is for my new puppy which I got few months back. He is a beagle and has been on my sets once but normally he is at home. About falling in love and getting married, well, I have told my parents to find me a nice guy.

No, I'm not a very social person when it comes to networking. I know it's very important to do social networking but I am a very private person. I don't really open up with people. Infact I have not even added many of my fans on facebook and so they very annoyed. So they have created a page for me where I interact with them. So as far as my real facebook account goes, I have added only my school and college friends.
Describe yourself in one sentence?
I'm like weather. I am always changing. I don't stay long enough so that somebody can catch me or get to know me. So I am very unpredictable.
