Russel Crowe inspires Om
After playing a responsible and ideal brother, husband, son and father in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kiran Karmarkar aka Om Agarwal quit the serial after five long years since he didn't want to stagnate. After some meaningful theatre, Kiran seems to have found his calling again on television. He is back with the Balaji co-production with Smriti Iraani aka Tulsi in the ambitious weekly Thodi Si Zameen, Thoda Aasmaan on Star Plus.
It is a challenging role since he will be seen playing a mentally challenged character Sudhanshu who is 35 years old, but inside the body of a grown up man, he is still a child reading books, playing with toys, reading fairy tales and believing them to be true.
His character is said to have a dash of Russel Crowe of A Beautiful Mind, Guru Dutt of Bahurani, Jeetendra of Jyoti and Sanjeev Kumar of Khilona thrown in. Sounds interesting already! Om and Tulsi have weaved magic on the small screen separately. Now let's wait and watch to see if their magic works together. (Sampurn)
