"Dr. Nidhi" a voice thundered.
She turned around to see Dr.Dubey's angry face.
"What are you doing here?"
"Nothing Sir"
"Aapko pata nahin hai ki bina koi kaaran ke aap corridor mein khadi nahi reh sakti...Don't you realise that you are blocking light to so many rooms"
Nidhi couldn't believe her ears...that was the most absurd thing she had heard in her life.
- Dr.Dubey is going overboard with his austerity measures...soon he will levy corridor tax on the lines of road tax...Nidhi told herself as she walked to the common room.
Dr.Ashutosh had left for hospital early that morning and she hadn't met him even for lunch...'Yeh Dr.Dubey ke kaaran mein hospital mein Dr.Ashu ki ek jhalak dekhne ke liye bhi tarasthi hoon...
I had done a lot of hard work to transform Ashu...but it looks like all those efforts have gone down the drain...Dubey mere pyaar ki naiya dubake hi rahenge."
The shift ended and Nidhi bravely went upto Ashu's cabin and knocked the door...

Nidhi was angry at Dr.Ashu for ignoring her SMS and therefore spoke sarcastically-
"Dr.Ashutosh, can you give me a lift home...I have decided to go on a resource conservation drive and hence would love to save diesel by not hiring an auto"
Nidhi said this while holding the door with one hand...
Ashu sensed that she was irritated..he gave a small smile and then said "sure"
Dr.Dubey heard Nidhi's words and boiled with rage. "This girl is too much..she is trying to get close to Ashu...Aaj-kal ki ladkiyon mein toh sharam naam ki cheez hi nahin hai..yeh kal ki chokri apne Dean ko phasane chali hai.
Ashu seedha-saadha hai, kam se kam usse toh baksh dethi..this hospital is filled with useless guys like Dr.Ranganath, couldn't she pick one of them.
I have to save Ashu from the clutches of this vixen...God sent me and Ashu to earth on a divine mission to cure the sick.I will never let anyone disrupt our holy mission...Zindagi bhar Ashu "guru devobhava" kehta raha, meri charano ki dhool ko chandan samajhkar uska tilak lagatha tha...It is my duty as his guru to protect his soul...I will not allow that girl to lead him astray.

The next day the entire staff of KGH heaved a collective sigh of relief when they found out that Dr.Dubey had taken half a day off.
Meanwhile at MM-
Hiraman kaka answers the bell
"Jee apko kisse milna tha"
"Mein KGH ka chief admin hoon aur mein Dr.Alok Mathur se millna chahta hoon"
HK ushers him in and calls BB
"Dr.Dubey, I am so happy that you have paid me a visit. Ashu had told me that you have joined KGH. I had planned to invite you for dinner this weekend...Both Ashu and Nidhi would be there...Nidhi would be especially delighted to interact with you in a non-office environment"
Dr.Dubey gave BB a worried look and said"Dr.Nidhi Verma...?"
"Haan, woh meri naathin hai...par ab woh Nidhi Mathur ban gayi hai...Ashu se shaadi karke"
Dr.Dubey got a shock of his life...that ill-bred, rude, insolent, irritating bag of nuisance was Ashu's wife!
His anger gave way to realization that life had always given Ashu a raw deal..even his baba had stabbed him in the back...he must have put some moral pressure on Ashu to marry his wayward grand daughter...nahin toh uss ladki se koi shareef ladka shaadi nahin karta.
Ashu ko apni zindagi kharab karke Dr.Mathur ka karz chukana pada.
Dr.Dubey got up and spoke in anger- Dr.Mathur, do you have any information about Ashu's parents? Any clue however small?
"Dr.Dubey, why are you asking this all of a sudden"
"I am asking this because you have proved that blood is thicker than water...and I want to reunite him with his blood relatives..he deserves to be adored by his parents..however late it may be now."
BB didn't know what had hit him, he stared at DD. HK, who had come with tea replied to dd's query.
"My elder brother and his wife were childless, they found Ashu while attempting to rescue passengers of a derailed train, he was crying next to his dead mother. They took it as God's way of fulfilling their yearning for a child...they were childless and Ashu was an orphan...they took him home without telling the authorities. He was two years old then.
My brother and his wife died when Ashu was 8..and Mathur Saheb was moved by his plight and sheltered him.
DD moved towards HK and shouted - Which train was it...where did it happen...what was the date...
Sahab mujhe sirf itna patha hai ki woh accident Rampur mein hui thi..kuch 40 saal pehle
BB and HK were left wondering as DD rushed to his car...
He stormed into Ashu's room..Nidhi was inside..."Sir, aapne knock nahin kiya"
DD didn't pay attention to her " Bipin kahaan hai?"
Nidhi had serious doubts about DD's sanity
Just then Ashu entered the room and DD hugged him and said" Bipin, mera beta, Bipin"
"Sir...yeh aap kya keh rahe hai"
"Sir nahin, Papa bolo beta...tum bipin ho..mere Bipin..I had talked to Dr.Mathur today, HK said that his brother found you at a train accident site near Rampur...around 40 years ago...
I believed that I had lost my wife and son in the same accident.They were travelling to my in-law's place...My wife's body was recovered but not my son's...no one had any information and I was told that there was no way he could have survived the accident...but it looks like he did...
You were found near your dead mother...Ashu this isn't a coincidence...Our blood connection made me develop affection for you when you were my student...and you have your mother's mouth and eyes...and her endearing smile...
Hum baap bete ko ab duniya ki koi taakhat judaa nahi kar sakthi, beta, I have been a miser all my life...I have made a fortune and want to ensure that you get it after my death. I shall start legal proceedings for the same...now drop the murky Mathur's name and start using Dubey. We will undergo a DNA test to shut the world's mouth.
Nidhi thought" Bekaar mein uss test pe paisa kyun barbaad kar rahe ho...aap dono hi daraawne ho...wahi gussa, wohi discipline ka jaap...aur wohi kanjoosi...there is no doubt about you both being father and son"
