(BANG) - Former lovers Kate Bosworth and Orlando Bloom have been desperately avoiding each other, it has been claimed.

The pair - who ended their four year relationship two weeks ago - were due to cross paths at New York Fashion Week.

However, the two stars made sure they didn't meet by being constantly informed of one another's movements.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Their people were speaking every hour to make sure Orlando and Kate avoided each other. They coordinated their schedules."

The break-up came just months after rumours that Orlando was planning to marry the 'Superman Returns' actress.

However, just two months ago the actor was reportedly caught kissing and "dirty dancing" with 'Romeo and Juliet' actress Claire Danes at a charity ball in England.
